Jefferson left after seven years at New Jersey where he ended up as the Nets third all-time leading scorer in franchise history. Lawrence Frank
Lawrence Adam Frank (born August 23, 1970) is an American basketball coach who is currently working as the President of Basketball Operations for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He formerly served as head coach of the Detroit Pistons and the New Jersey Nets, and has been an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics and the Nets. Frank was honored the 2020 NBA Executive of the Year Award after acquiring both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard during the 2019 offseason. Ryan Anderson (basketball, Born 1988)
Ryan James Anderson (born May 6, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Houston Rockets. He played college basketball for the California Golden Bears. Anderson was selected with the 21st overall pick in the 2008 NBA draft by the New Jersey Nets, who traded him to the Orlando Magic in June 2009. With the Magic, he received the NBA Most Improved Player Award in 2012. In July 2012, Anderson was traded to the New Orleans Hornets, who changed their name to the Pelicans in April 2013. In July 2016, he signed with the Houston Rockets as a free agent and was dealt to the Phoenix Suns in August 2018. The 2008–09 Detroit Pistons season was the 68th season of the franchise, the 61st in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the 52nd in the Detroit area. The season was the first under new head coach Michael Curry, who took over for Flip Saunders who was fired at the conclusion of the 2007–08 season. In the playoffs, the Pistons were swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in four games in the First Round. During the season, the Pistons traded Chauncey Billups, Antonio McDyess, and Cheikh Samb to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Allen Iverson. McDyess was waived by the Nuggets and was re-signed by the Pistons. The season marked by the arrival of former NBA Coach of the Year, Rick Carlisle who was hired on May 9, 2008 following the firing of Avery Johnson after the 2008 NBA playoffs. Finishing at 50–32 as the number six seed, the Mavericks defeated the San Antonio Spurs in the opening round of the playoffs in five games to advance to the conference semi-finals for the first time since 2006. Douglas M. Overton (born August 3, 1969) is an American retired professional basketball player and coach. Playing career Prior to his NBA career, Overton spent a season with the Illawarra Hawks of the Australian NBL. Brian Alfred Hill (born September 19, 1947) is an American former professional basketball coach. Early life Born in East Orange, New Jersey, Hill graduated from Our Lady of the Valley High School in Orange, New Jersey in 1965 and John F. Kennedy College in Nebraska in 1969 with a degree in physical education. Hill was a three-year starter on the Kennedy basketball team.
