2008–09 Liga IV
The 2008–09 Liga IV was the 67th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association play against one from a neighboring county in a play-off match played on a neutral venue. The winners of the play-off matches promoted to Liga III. Liga IV
Liga IV is the fourth level of the Romanian football league system. Its name was changed from Divizia D into Liga IV before the start of play for the 2006–07 season. Current format Liga IV has 42 divisions. The divisions are regionalised and are organised by every county association. Each team plays in their own county. The county associations decide how many teams play in the league and how many matches each side plays. In Romania the most frequently used system is one division with matches played home and away. A number of associations prefer 2 or even 4 parallel divisions with the teams finishing first meeting in a play-off to decide the champion. The number of teams differ from one county association to another. The Mureș County association has the fewest teams, 8, which play in a Scottish system, playing 4 times against one another. ACS Gauss Bacău
Asociația Club Sportiv Gauss Bacău, commonly known as Gauss Bacău (), or simply as Gauss, is a Romanian football (soccer), football football team, club based in Bacău, Bacău County. Founded in 2006 under the name of ''Mesagerul Bacău'', the club promoted to Liga III in 2010, then being bought by Municipality of Bacău and changed its name in ''SC Bacău''. Under this name, the club obtained its best rankings, promoting in the second tier and obtaining at its best a 4th place. In 2016 the Municipality retired its financial support and Sport Club withdrew from the second league, then being bought by Cristian Postolache and merging with his club, Gauss Răcăciuni, changing its name in Gauss Bacău and therefore signing up for the Liga III. Liga IV Tulcea
Liga IV Tulcea is the county association football, football division of Liga IV for clubs based in Tulcea County, România. The competition is ranked as the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system and it is competed between 10 teams, the winner may or may not be promoted to Liga III, depending on the result of a promotion play-off that is disputed against a winner of the neighboring counties series. Clubul Sportiv Viitorul Ianca, commonly known as Viitorul Ianca (), or simply as Ianca, is a Romanian football club based in Ianca, Brăila County. FCM Dunărea Galați
Dunărea Galați was a Romanian professional football club from Galați, Galați county, south-east Romania, founded in 1970. The club was dissolved in 2014. History The club was founded in 1970, took the place of Oțelul Galați in Divizia B and has played for 5 seasons in the Liga I. For a brief period, it was Galați's main team, but after the rise of Oțelul in the 1980s, it is seen only in the Liga II and the Liga III. They were supposed to be relegated to Liga III at the end of the 2007–08 season, but they managed to maintain their second league position due to the withdrawal of FCM Câmpina.
