The 2008–09 season in Hong Kong football, starting July 2008 and ending June 2009: Overview Events On 9 July 2008, South China goalkeeper Zhang Chunhui was sentenced imprisonment for 8 months due to inflicting grievous bodily harm upon another person. He injured a 17-year-old boy in Causeway Bay on 19 December 2007. On 22 July 2008, HKFA confirmed the Hong Kong First Division League team list for 2008-09 season. 13 teams will compete in the top division, among which TSW Pegasus and Xiangxue Eisiti will enter using competing membership, and they will need to sponsor one local cup competition each. There are two team name changes: Lanwa Redbull renamed to be Sheffield United and Wofoo Tai Po renames to be NT Realty Wofoo Tai Po.HKFA

South China AA
South China Athletic Association (known simply as South China, SCAA, ) is a Hong Kong professional football club that competes in the Hong Kong First Division, the second-tier league in Hong Kong football league system. The club is historically one of the most successful football clubs in Hong Kong, having won a record 41 First Division titles, a record 31 Senior Shields, a record 10 FA Cups and 3 League Cups. The club has a very long history in playing in the top-tier league, but decided to self-relegate after the end of the 2016–17 season. IEK ( gr, ΙΕΚ) is a Greek abbreviation name for the (Institute of Vocational Training). Shi Liang (footballer)
Shi Liang (; born 11 May 1989) is a Chinese football player who currently plays for Meizhou Kejia in the Chinese Super League. Club career Shi started his professional career with China League Two side Guangdong Sunray Cave in the 2007 league season. He scored one goal in four appearances as Guangdong Sunray Cave won promotion to the second tier at the end of the 2008 season. The following season he would help establish the club in the division and go on to be their top goalscorer with eight goals. In February 2013, Shi moved to Chinese Super League side Guizhou Renhe on a free transfer. He would go on to make his debut for the club on 8 March 2013 in a league game against Qingdao Jonoon F.C. in a 2-1 defeat. Throughout the season he would struggle to establish himself within the team and was loaned out to third-tier club Meizhou Kejia for the remainder of the season and the whole of the 2014 league campaign.
