2008–09 Cyclo-cross Superprestige
The 2008–2009 Cyclo-cross Superprestige events and season-long competition takes place between 12 October 2008 and 12 February 2009. Eight events are organised. Results Men Season standings In each race, the top 15 riders gain points, going from 15 points for the winner decreasing by one point per position to 1 point for the rider finishing in 15th position. Vlaamse Aardbeiencross
The Vlaamse Aardbeiencross is a cyclo-cross race held in Belgium since 1987. It was held in Hoogstraten between 1987 and 2020. It became part of the Superprestige in the 1998–1999 season. In 2020 the race moved to Merksplas due to locations problems with the site in Hoogstraten, but the February race was annulled due to storm Ciara. Richard Groenendaal
Richard Marinus Anthonius Groenendaal (born 13 July 1971) is a Dutch former professional cyclo-cross cyclist. Groenendaal won the UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in 2000 and the overall titles in the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup 1997–1998, 2000–2001 and 2003–2004 and in the Cyclo-cross Superprestige in 1997–1998 and 2000–2001. Early career Groenendaal's father Reinier was an Elite cyclo-cross cyclist and was Dutch Elite champion in 1985. Groenendaal began to ride as a junior in 1987. He was Dutch Junior champion in 1987–1988 and 1988–89 where he also won the Junior World Cyclo-Cross championships. The following season he joined the Amateur category which he stayed until the 1993–94 season when he turned professional. Bart Aernouts (born 23 June 1982 in Essen) is a Belgian former professional cyclist who competed mainly in cyclo-cross races. The Cyclo-cross Gavere also known as Cyclocross Asper-Gavere is a cyclo-cross race held in Gavere, Belgium. It is held on the banks of the river Scheldt in the vicinity of the Grenier castle.
