2008 Quadrangular Twenty20 Series In Canada
The 2008 Quadrangular Twenty20 Series in Canada was a tournament of Twenty20 international cricket matches that was held in Canada from 10 to 13 October 2008. The four participating teams are Canada, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. The matches were played at the North-West ground of Maple Leaf Cricket Club in King City, Ontario. Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the final. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. A typical Twenty20 game is completed in about two and a half hours, with each innings lasting around 70 minutes and an official 10-minute break between the innings. Salman Butt (, born 7 October 1984) is a former Pakistani cricketer and captain who played for Pakistan national cricket team between 2003 and 2010, before getting banned for five years for his involvement in 2010 spot-fixing scandal. He had been a regular Test and ODI left-handed opening batsman. Khalid Latif ( ur, ; born 4 November 1985) is a Pakistani former cricketer who has been banned for five years, for his involvement in spot-fixing. A right-handed opening batsman, Latif captained Pakistan in the 2004 U-19 Cricket World Cup win and the 2010 Asian Games bronze medal win. Career Khalid Latif was captain of the Pakistani side which won the Under-19 World Cup in 2004. He was the highest scorer for Pakistan at the 2004 U-19 World Cup, scoring 291 runs in eight innings. Abdur Rauf Khan (born 9 December 1978) is a Pakistani former cricketer who played for the Pakistani national cricket team between 2008 and 2009. A right-arm fast-medium bowler, Khan made his first-class debut in October 1999. Henry Osinde
Henry Osinde (born 17 October 1978) is a Canadian cricket coach and former player. He immigrated to Canada from Uganda as a young man and represented the Canada national cricket team from 2005 to 2013 as a fast-medium bowler. He played at the 2007 and 2011 Cricket World Cups. He was later interim head coach of Canada in 2017. Personal life Osinde was born on 17 October 1978 in Kampala, Uganda.
