2008 North African Cup Winners Cup
The 2008 North African Cup Winners Cup was the first edition of the competition created by the Federation of North African Football. ES Tunis were the champions, defeating JSM Béjaïa 2-1 over two legs. Participating teams FAR Rabat won the Coupe du Trône, but as they are already playing the North African Cup of Champions, Maghreb Fez were invited to compete instead. Al Zamalek withdrew. The System The Libyan representative and the Moroccan representative will contest a two-legged tie, first leg on November 19, second leg November 25, to qualify for the semi-finals, the draw for which will be made on November 23 in Tunis. The semi-finals will be played sometime in December, with the final being played in January 2009. The Fez Sports complex () is a multi-purpose stadium in Fez, Morocco. It is used mostly for football matches and it also has athletics facilities, the stadium holds 45,000 and was built in 2003. History The plans of this stadium realized by Moroccan architects and engineers and the launching of the works was done in 1992, but it is only 2 years later that it started its construction which had to be finished in 1997 to shelter with the stadium of Honor of Meknes 1997 Africa Junior Nations Cup organized by Morocco. Wajdi Bouazzi
Wajdi Bouazzi (born 16 August 1985) is a Tunisian international footballer. Club career Bouazzi first began his footballing career with hometown club AS Kasserine. After spending two years with Kasserine, he made his big move to Tunis-based club Espérance in July 2006. It was here that the winger became regular for the team, helping the club to a runners-up position at the 2010 and 2012 editions of the CAF Champions League and actually winning the competition in 2011. Following this triumph, Bouazzi would also go on to feature at the 2011 FIFA Club World Cup as his team was only able to manage a sixth place finish. Al Masry Club Stadium (), formerly known as Port Said Stadium (), was a multi-use all-seated stadium in Al Manakh, Port Said, Egypt, which was mostly used for football and was the home of Al Masry between 1958 and 2012.
