BJ Norris is an American sport shooter who in the 2005 IPSC Handgun World Shoot took silver in the Open division Junior category. He started shooting competitively in USPSA late in 2000 at age 11, and became really serious about shooting in the 2005 season. Besides being known as an IPSC/ USPSA shooter, he is also well known for his Steel Challenge participation where he became World Champion in 2011. IPSC Action Air World Shoot
The IPSC Action Air World Shoot is the highest level Action Air match within the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC). The Action Air World Shoots are currently held triennially on the same cycle as the IPSC Shotgun World Shoots. The first Action Air World Shoot was be held in 2018 at the KITEC Exhibition Centre in Hong Kong. The second Action Air World Shoot was originally to be held in Sochi, Russia. However, in reaction to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the IPSC cancelled it along with all scheduled and future level 3 and above international competitions in Russia. The IPSC Shotgun World Shoot is the highest level shotgun match within the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) and consists of several days and at least 30 separate courses of fire. The Shotgun World Shoots are held triennially on a rotational cycle with the other two main IPSC disciplines Handgun and Rifle. History The first Shotgun World Shoot was held in 2012 in Debrecen, Hungary, and consisted of 30 stages over 5 days and over 400 competitors. The subsequent 2015 Shotgun World Shoot was held at the "Le Tre Piume" shooting range near Agna, Italy. The match had 30 stages over 5 days, and 635 competitors from 30 nations. The IPSC Rifle World Shoot is the highest level rifle match within the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) which consists of several days and at least 30 separate courses of fire. The Rifle World Shoots are held triennially on a rotational cycle with the other two main IPSC disciplines Handgun and Shotgun. History The first Rifle World Shoot was originally scheduled to be held in 2006 in Denmark, but was postponed and later cancelled due to difficulty in arranging enough long range stages. South Africa later expressed interest in hosting the event, but did not put forward a bid. Eduardo De Cobos
Eduardo De Cobos (born 20. August 1974) is a Spanish sport shooter and firearms instructor who took bronze in the Production division at the 2017 IPSC Handgun World Shoot in Châteauroux, France. He also has two gold and one bronze medal from the IPSC European Handgun Championships. Eduardo started shooting as a weekend activity with his father between 1990 and 1992. Daniel Horner is an American sport shooter and firearms instructor who placed fourth in the Production division at the 2008 IPSC Handgun World Shoot. He shoots varied action shooting competitions with an emphasis on multigun, and is a 10-time USPSA Multigun Champion in the Tactical division (2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018). Robert "Bob" Gordon Vogel (born 7 October 1981) is a professional marksman, competition shooter, and National/World champion. He is the only Law Enforcement Officer ever to win World and National Championships in the Practical Pistol Disciplines of IPSC and USPSA. Robert was born and raised on a farm in rural Saint Marys, Ohio where he became heavily involved in shooting, hunting and the outdoors from a very young age. After graduating high school in 2000 he went immediately into a 2-year Police Academy program. It was also at this time that he began competing in practical shooting competitions. At present, Robert is a 2-time world champion and 17-time national champion across 3 disciplines of practical and combat shooting. Besides this, he has been a Police Officer for over 10 years.
