The Regional Council of Friuli-Venezia Giulia ( it, Consiglio regionale del Friuli-Venezia Giulia; fur, Consei Regjonâl di Friûl Vignesie Julie; sl, Deželni svet Furlanije-Julijske krajine; german: link=no, Regionalrat der Region Friaul-Julisch Venetien) is the parliament, legislative assembly of the autonomous regions with special statute, autonomous region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The assembly was elected for the first time in 1964. Its first location was in Piazza Unità d'Italia; then, in 1972, the seat of the council was moved to Piazza Oberdan. Lega Friuli-Venezia Giulia ( en, Friuli-Venezia Giulia League), whose complete name is ( en, Friuli-Venezia Giulia League for Salvini Premier), is a regionalist political party active in Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Slovene Union
The Slovene Union ( sl, Slovenska skupnost, SSk, it, Unione Slovena, US) is a political party in Italy representing the Slovene minority in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region. Its Slovenian language name means literally "Slovene Community", but the denomination "Slovene Union" is used in other languages. The party was founded in the 1960s to represent the anti-communist Slovenes in the Italian Julian March (provinces of Trieste and Gorizia). It the 1970s and 1980s, it extended its presence also to Venetian Slovenia and Canale Valley in the Province of Udine.
