The 2008 FIS Ski Jumping Grand Prix was the 15th Summer Grand Prix season in ski jumping on plastic. Season began on 26 July 2008 in Hinterzarten, Germany and ended on 4 October 2008 in Liberec. Other competitive circuits this season included the World Cup and Continental Cup. Gregor Schlierenzauer
Gregor Schlierenzauer (; born 7 January 1990) is an Austrian former ski jumper who competed from 2006 to 2021. He is one of the most successful ski jumpers of all time, having won the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup, Ski Jumping World Cup overall title, the Four Hills Tournament, and Nordic Tournament twice each; the FIS Ski Flying World Cup, Ski Flying World Cup overall title three times; as well as four medals at the Winter Olympics, twelve at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, Ski Jumping World Championships, and five at the FIS Ski Flying World Championships, Ski Flying World Championships. Tremplin Du Praz
Tremplin du Praz is a ski jumping hill at Le Praz in Courchevel, France. The complex consists of four hills: a large hill with construction point of K125 (HS137), a normal hill at K90 (HS96), and two training hills at K60 and K25. The complex also has a cross-country skiing stadium used for Nordic combined. Jörg Ritzerfeld holds the large hill winter record of 134.0 metres and Nicolas Mayer the normal hill record of 100.5 metres. La Praz received its first ski jumping hill in 1944. Ahead of the 1992 Winter Olympics, the large and normal hills were built along with a cross-country stadium to host ski jumping at the 1992 Winter Olympics, ski jumping and Nordic combined at the 1992 Winter Olympics, Nordic combined events. is a Japanese former ski jumper who competed at World Cup level between 2002 and 2022. Łukasz Rutkowski (born 22 January 1988 in Zakopane) is a Polish ski jumper. Personal life Łukasz Rutkowski was born in Zakopane, Poland. He has an older brother Mateusz, who is a ski jumper too. Career He made his Continental Cup debut in February 2006, his best result being a sixth place from Vikersund in March 2008. Wielka Krokiew
Wielka Krokiew (''The Great Krokiew'', in Polish ''krokiew'' means ''rafter'') is the biggest ski jumping hill built on the slope of Krokiew mountain (1378 m) in Zakopane, Poland. It was opened in 1925. Since 1989 the hills bears the official name Wielka Krokiew im. Stanisława Marusarza. It is a regular venue in the FIS Ski jumping World Cup. Roman Koudelka (; born 9 July 1989) is a Czech ski jumper. Career Koudelka's first world cup start was in Kuusamo on 24 November 2006. He finished in 31st position. He ended the season 39th in the world cup standings with 87 points. The following season he finished 17th in the world cup standings with 411 points. In the 2008/09 season, he finished 16th with 403 points. He tied for 63rd in the 2009/10 campaign with just 20 points.
