European Tour
The European Tour (currently known as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons), legally the PGA European Tour is the leading men's professional golf tour in Europe. The organisation also operates the European Senior Tour (for players aged fifty or older) and the developmental Challenge Tour; the second tier of men’s professional golf in Europe. The tour's headquarters are at the Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England. The European Tour was established by the British-based Professional Golfers' Association through the 1970s, and responsibility was transferred to an independent PGA European Tour organisation in 1984. Gary Ben Clark (born 9 April 1971) is an English professional golfer. Clark was born in London. He attended the University of Arkansas before turning professional in 1995. He qualified for the European Tour through qualifying school at the end of that year. Clark finished in 103rd place on the Order of Merit in his début season. Marco Ruiz (golfer)
Marco Ruiz (born 2 December 1974) is a Paraguayan professional golfer. Early life and career Ruiz was born in Asunción. He is the godson of celebrated Argentine golfer Vicente Fernández. Ruiz turned professional in 1992. Having played regularly on the Challenge Tour in 2005, Ruiz was successful enough to graduate directly to the full European Tour for 2006. However indifferent performances meant that he dropped down the Challenge Tour again in 2007. After finishing 21st on the money list for the 2008 season, missing out by one place on gaining exemption on the European Tour, Ruiz earned his card for 2009 with a 22nd-place finish at the qualifying school. Fabrizio Zanotti
Fabrizio Zanotti (born 21 May 1983) is a Paraguayan professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Early life Zanotti was born in Asunción. He was Paraguay's top ranked amateur golfer for six straight years. Professional career Zanotti turned professional in 2003. In 2006 Zanotti won the Tour de las Americas Order of Merit with victory at the final event of the season, the Abierto Mexicano Corona. The tournament was also the second event on the 2007 Challenge Tour schedule, and the win enabled him to join the tour for the remainder of the season. He ended the season in 11th place on the Challenge Tour Rankings to graduate to the top level European Tour for 2008. In his rookie season on the European Tour, Zanotti finished 153rd on the Order of Merit to lose his place on the tour. Lorenzo Gagli
Lorenzo Gagli (born 14 October 1985) is an Italian professional golfer. He won the 2018 Barclays Kenya Open, his first win on the Challenge Tour. Professional career Gagli turned professional in 2006. He spent 2007 on the Alps Tour, where he finished fourth on the Order of Merit. As a result, he was promoted to the Challenge Tour, where he played for the 2008 season. He graduated from the qualifying school in 2008 to earn promotion for the European Tour in 2009, but struggled for form at that level and divided his season between the European and Challenge Tours. He again came through qualifying school at the end of 2009, but once again bounced between tours for 2010. A strong finish to the year left him 17th on the Challenge Tour rankings, which earned him promotion to the European Tour once more for 2011. David Drysdale
David Stuart Drysdale (born 19 March 1975) is a Scottish professional golfer. Career Drysdale was born in Edinburgh. He turned professional in 1995. He married his childhood sweetheart Victoria in 2004. Drysdale currently competes on the European Tour, having graduated through qualifying school for the fourth time at the end of 2008. He had previously qualified for the elite tour in 2001, 2006 and 2007 through q-school, in addition to graduating directly from the Challenge Tour in 2004, when he finished 12th on the end of season rankings, largely thanks to a sudden death playoff victory over Mattias Eliasson at the Bouygues Telecom Grand Final. Chris Doak
Chris Doak (born 19 December 1977) is a Scottish professional golfer on the European Tour. After becoming a professional in 1997, 'Doaky' played on the Scottish PGA Tartan Tour, twice topping the regional Order of Merit and clocking up over forty wins, including the Northern Open in both 2005 and 2008. Also in 2008, Doak won the Srixon PGA Play-offs to become the British and Irish PGA No.1 and set a new record for the most Tartan Tour order of merit wins in one season. In 2010 Chris returned to the Tartan Tour circuit to win the Scottish PGA Championship at Gleneagles. Doak first played on the European Tour in 2009. He played on the Challenge Tour from 2010 to 2012, winning at the 2012 Allianz Open de Lyon. Anthony Snobeck
Anthony Snobeck (born 20 April 1983) is a French professional golfer, who has played on both the European and Challenge Tours. Biography Snobeck was born in Paris; his father Dany was a successful racing driver who won the French Supertouring Championship three times and the Andros Trophy twice, and the family lived adjacent to Magny-Cours, where he owned a car company. Snobeck began playing golf in 1995, and by the age of seventeen was a three-handicap. He began being coached by Antoine Lebouc, former European Tour player and husband of Patricia Meunier-Lebouc, in 2002, and under his guidance turned professional in 2005.
