Brunei Premier League
The Brunei Premier League () is the second tier of the football pyramid of Brunei. It was Brunei's top-tier football league until 2012, when the Brunei Super League was created. The Premier League falls under the management of the National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam. History From 1985 to 1993, the champions of the four districts ( Belait, Brunei-Muara, Temburong, Tutong) entered into the National Championship playoff. The tournament was not played between 1994 and 2001. The Brunei Premier League was created in 2002, and it was the top-tier league until 2012, when it was replaced by the Brunei Super League. From 2014 until 2019 it was made into a second tier competition. Indera Sports Club (; Abbreviation, abbrev: ISC), formerly Kilat FC and Indera Football Association, is a multi-sports club based in Brunei, mostly known for its association football team. History Early years Kilat FC was founded in 1970 by nobleman Pengiran Anak Hassanuddin Al-Haj bin Pengiran Anak Safiuddin with his siblings, and was based in Kilanas. The club underwent several name changes Indera Football Association and Indera Football Club. Over the years they became an established force in the local football scene, winning district-level championships in the seventies and eighties. Kasuka Football Club () is a Brunei professional association football, football club based in Bandar Seri Begawan that currently plays in the Brunei Super League, the domestic top-tier competition. History Early days (1993–1998) Due to the demand from the residents of Sungai Kedayan, Kampong Sungai Kedayan to play in the district league, Kasuka was founded in 1993. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the club enjoyed a great deal of success. For the 1997–98 season, they won the Brunei-Muara District League and added the Police Cup (PRG) and Mukim Berakas Cup (Perbekal) to their collection of victories. By winning the District League Champions Cup, Pepsi Cup, and Community Shield of the District League in 1999, Kasuka added three more cups to their collection. Sengkurong FC
Kampong Sengkurong is a village in the west of Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. The total population was 5,003 in 2016. Etymology The names Sengkurong and Bengkurong have a number of different origin stories, but according to Dusun speakers, Sengkurong means Kurong People and Bengkurong means Kurong River. In the past, the region around Sengkurong/Bengkurong was probably known as Kurong. Kurong can also refer to an enclosure. The river that once ran through the area meandered, as do most rivers. It formerly meandered so much that it virtually formed a circle around the location. According to legend, this river's meandering sections once intersected and formed a circle when flooding occurred, but this circular path was interrupted because of the river's rapid flow. Geographically speaking, the circle creates an oxbow lake that is completely cut off from the river. Brunei Shell Recreation Club Football Club ( abbrev: BSRC FC), formerly Brunei Shell FC represents the football department of Brunei Shell Recreational Club situated in Panaga, Belait. History The team was founded in 2004 and originally known as Brunei Shell FT. Awang Hj Aji bin Hitam was in charge of this team in 2004. This team has had a number of managers over the years, and at the moment, Awang Hj Ismail bin Hj Bakar holds the position in conjunction with Head Coach Hailmey Ariffin. The team's objective is to represent the Belait District in the leagues run by Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (FABD) and develop into a hub for young people in the district to hone their football skills.
