2007 Ukrainian Cup Final
The 2007 Ukrainian Cup Final was a football match that took place at the Olympic NSC on 27 May 2007. The match was the 16th Ukrainian Cup Final and it was contested by Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kyiv. The Olympic stadium is the traditional arena for the Cup final. Road to Kyiv All 16 Ukrainian Premier League clubs do not have to go through qualification to get into the competition, so Dynamo and Shakhtar both qualified for the competition automatically. Previous encounters Prior to the 2007 Cup Final, Dynamo and Shakhtar had met three times in previous Ukrainian Cup finals. Dynamo had defeated Shakhtar two times, since losing their very first meeting. In both of those meetings Dynamo was victorious 2–1. Shakhtar's best performance against Dynamo was back in the 2002 final, when the ''Miners'' were able to down the legendary Dynamo team in extra time 3–2. 2006–07 Ukrainian Cup
The 2006–07 Ukrainian Cup was the 16th annual edition of Ukraine's football knockout competition, the Ukrainian Cup. The winner of this competition was Dynamo Kyiv which also was defending its title. This season saw return of amateur teams to participate in the competition for the first time since 1995. Sports Club Tavriya ( uk, Спортивний клуб "Таврія") was a Ukrainian football club from Simferopol. Tavriya was a member of the Ukrainian Premier League from its founding and won the first Ukrainian Premier League making them one of three teams that have ever held this title. After the annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation in 2014, the club was forced to cease its existence after 56 years, while in occupied Crimean peninsula a new club composed of some of its staff and players joined the Russian Football Union under the new name FC TSK Simferopol. Vladyslav Vashchuk
Vladyslav Viktorovych Vashchuk ( ua, Владислав Вікторович Ващук; born on 2 January 1975) is a retired Ukrainian football defender who last played for FC Volyn Lutsk. Vashchuk was also a member of the Ukrainian national football team playing 63 times. He mainly played in the centre back position and could also be utilized as a sweeper. Career Club career Vashchuk began his playing days in the Dynamo Kyiv football academy. He made his senior team debut in 1993, and went on to play for them for the next 10 seasons. Andriy Mykolayovych Nesmachnyi ( uk, Андрій Миколайович Несмачний, born 28 February 1979) is a retired Russian-born Ukrainian footballer. He has spent his entire career at Dynamo Kyiv in the Ukrainian Premier League. He was a skillful, attacking left-back who could also play as central defender and left midfielder. Tiberiu Ghioane (born 18 June 1981) is a Romanian former professional footballer. He played most of his career for Dynamo Kyiv as a defensive midfielder before retiring from football in July 2011.
