2007 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship
The Limerick Senior Hurling Championship is an annual club competition between the top hurling clubs in Limerick.http://www.hoganstand.com/Limerick/results.aspx www.hoganstand.com/Limerick/results.aspx The winners of the Limerick Championship qualify to represent their county in the Munster Club Championship, the winners of which go on to the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship. Overview Championship structure The Limerick county championship does not operate on a group system; it instead uses a knock-out system with a last chance backdoor system for teams knocked out in the first and second rounds. The 16 teams are randomly drawn into 8 first round ties. The 8 winners progress to round 2. These 8 teams are drawn in 4 games with the winners of each progressing to the quarter-finals. The 8 teams beaten in round 1 are drawn together into 4 games where the losers go into the relegation playoffs and the winners go on to be drawn against the beaten teams from round 2, ...

Limerick Senior Hurling Championship
The Limerick Senior Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Bon Secours Hospital County Senior Hurling Championship and abbreviated to the Limerick SHC) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Limerick County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the top-ranking senior clubs in the county of Limerick in Ireland. It is the most prestigious competition in Limerick hurling. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at the Gaelic Grounds in October. The prize for the winning team is the John Daly Cup. Initially played as a knock-out competition, the championship currently uses a round robin format followed by a knock-out stage. 1948 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship
The 1948 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship was the 54th staging of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Limerick County Board. Ahane were the defending champions. On 28 November 1948, Ahane won the championship after a 2–03 to 0–01 defeat of Croom in the final. It was their 15th championship title overall and their seventh title in succession. It was the second time in their history that Ahane won seven titles in-a-row. Adare GAA
Adare GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA club based in Adare, County Limerick, Republic of Ireland. Adare have reached the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship, County Senior Hurling Final on 12 occasions. After losing the finals of 1968, 1986, 1990, 1993 and 1996, they finally won their first championship in 2001 and successfully defended it in 2002. Hurling ( ga, iománaíocht, ') is an outdoor team game of ancient Gaelic Irish origin, played by men. One of Ireland's native Gaelic games, it shares a number of features with Gaelic football, such as the field and goals, the number of players and much terminology. The same game played by women is called camogie ('), which shares a common Gaelic root.
