Croom GAA
Croom GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Croom, County Limerick, Ireland. The club was founded in 1884 and fields teams in both hurling and Gaelic football. Location The club is situated in the parish of Croom in central County Limerick in the south division on the banks of the Maigue. Bordering clubs include Granagh/Ballingarry, Croagh/Kilfinny, Adare, Patrickswell, Crecora/Manister and Banogue. The club is roughly 20 km south of Limerick City. History The club was founded in 1884 as Croom Abú's and is one of the oldest clubs in the county. A direct relation of Eoin O' Farrell's was responsible for the formation of the club. Croom quickly became a force in hurling winning twenty-three West Senior Hurling titles from 1907 to 1943. Jim Roche (hurler)

James Roche (11 June 1909 – 23 April 1980) was an Irish hurler who played as a left wing-forward for the Limerick senior team. Roche joined the team during the 1933 championship and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement almost a decade later. During that time he won three All-Ireland medals, five Munster medals and five National Hurling League medals. Roche was an All-Ireland runner-up on two occasions. John Galvin is a former Gaelic footballer who played as a midfielder for Limerick GAA, Limerick in a career spanning 15 years from 1999 to 2014. He played his club football with Croom GAA, Croom before transferring to Cratloe GAA, Cratloe in Clare where he had been living for some years. Peter Cregan
Peter Cregan (13 May 1918 – 12 August 2004) was an Irish hurler who played as a goalkeeper for the Limerick senior team. Born in Croom, County Limerick, Cregan first appeared on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen with the Limerick minor team. He made his senior debut during the 1937 championship. Cregan immediately became a regular member of the starting fifteen and won one All-Ireland medals, one Munster medal and one National Hurling League medal. As a member of the Munster inter-provincial team on a number of occasions, Cregan won four Railway Cup medals. Limerick Junior Hurling Championship
The Limerick Junior Hurling Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition organised by Limerick GAA among the top hurling clubs in County Limerick. The winner qualifies to represent the county in the Munster Junior Club Hurling Championship, the winner of which progresses to the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship. Apart from a few years when there was an Intermediate hurling Championship the Junior Hurling championship was the second most important hurling competition in Limerick. When the Intermediate hurling Championship restarted in 1988, the Junior became the third most important competition and in 2014 with the advent of the Premier Intermediate hurling Championship it became the Fourth tier of Limerick hurling. Limerick Intermediate Hurling Championship
The Limerick Intermediate Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Limerick County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association for the third tier hurling teams in the county of Limerick in Ireland. The series of games are played during the summer and autumn months with the county final currently being played at the Gaelic Grounds in October. The championship includes a group stage which is followed by a knock-out phase for the top teams. There is also promotion involving the Limerick Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship. Hugh Flavin
Hugh Flavin is an Irish people, Irish hurling, hurler who played as a centre-forward for the Limerick GAA, Limerick senior team. Flavin joined the team during the National Hurling League 2007, 2007 National League and was a semi-regular member of the starting fifteen over the following two seasons. He enjoyed little success in the senior grade and was an unused substitute in Limerick's All-Ireland final defeat in 2007. At club level Flavin plays with Croom GAA, Croom. Mark O'Riordan
Mark O'Riordan (born 1980 in Croom, County Limerick) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Croom and with the Limerick senior inter-county team. He also plays with the Limerick senior football team. Playing career Club O'Riordan plays his club hurling with his local Croom club and has enjoyed some success. Inter-county ;Hurling O'Riordan first came to prominence on the inter-county scene as a member of the Limerick under-21 team. He won a Munster title at this level in 2000 before later collecting an All-Ireland medal following a victory over Galway. The following year O'Riordan won a second set of Munster and All-Ireland under-21 honours, as Limerick completed the second leg of a three-in-a-row.
