The 2007 Kazakhstan First Division was the 13th edition of Kazakhstan First Division, the second level football competition in Kazakhstan. The division is split into two geographic conferences: North-East and South-West Conferences. Two winners of each conference advance to Final Four tournament, two winners of which then would gain promotion to the Premier League 2008. Conference final standings Championship round All six matches were played on neutral ground in Taldykorgan and Balpyk-Bi. For two teams had identical stats, the champion was revealed after a draw procedure. Taldykorgan
Taldykorgan ( kk, Талдықорған/Taldyqorğan; russian: Талдыкорган), known as ''Taldy-Kurgan'' until 1993, is the capital (called an administrative center) of Zhetysu Region, Kazakhstan. According to the 2010 Kazakh Census Results, the population is 143,407. The town was founded in the 19th century as the village of Gavrilovka and developed into the present city on the same site. The town grew slowly in its early years. After the completion of the railway connection many Russian farmers moved to the area of the town. Russians are the second-largest ethnic group after the Kazakhs among the 70 nationalities living in Taldykorgan. A total of 143,000 people live in the city. FC Spartak Semey ( kk, Spartak Fýtbol Klýby) is a Kazakh football club based in Semey. A leading club in the early years of the Kazakhstan Premier League, and under the name ''Yelimay Semipalatinsk'' (or simply "Yelimay") they were three-time champions of Kazakhstan in 1994, 1995 and 1998. FC Kazakhmys ( kk, Qazaqmys Fýtbol Klýby) is a defunct Kazakhstani football club. They were based in Satpayev, Karagandy Province. They won the First Division 2007, but were not able to start in the Premier League 2008 due to financial difficulties. In the 2008 season, the club became champion again and promoted to the Kazakhstan Premier League. In May 2011, due to lack of funds, it was announced the discontinuity of the club.
