2007 Dubai Tennis Championships
The 2007 Dubai Duty Free Men's Championship and Dubai Duty Free Women's Championship were the 15th edition of this professional tennis tournament and was played on outdoor hard courts. The tournament was part of the International Series Gold of the 2007 ATP and the Tier II series of the 2007 WTA Tour. It took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from February 19 through 24 for the women, and from February 26 through March 4, 2007 for the men. Review The event was won by Roger Federer in men's singles, Justine Henin in women's singles, Fabrice Santoro and Nenad Zimonjić in men's doubles, and Cara Black and Liezel Huber in women's doubles. For both Federer and Henin, it was their fourth triumph in Dubai and both hold the record for most wins here. The 2007 ATP Tour was the global elite men's professional tennis circuit organised by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for the 2007 tennis season. Alicia Molik
Alicia Molik (born 27 January 1981) is an Australian former professional tennis player. She reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 8 and a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 6. Molik won a bronze medal in singles for Australia at the 2004 Summer Olympics by upsetting the then-world No. 3 and reigning French Open champion Anastasia Myskina. Svetlana Aleksandrovna Kuznetsova (born 27 June 1985) is a Russian inactive professional tennis player. She is a two-time major singles champion, winning the 2004 US Open and 2009 French Open, and finishing runner-up at two other majors. Radek Štěpánek
Radek Štěpánek (; born 27 November 1978) is a Czech former professional tennis player. His career-high singles ranking was world No. 8 and best doubles ranking was world No. 4. Štěpánek's biggest achievements are reaching two Masters 1000 event finals and the quarterfinals of Wimbledon in 2006, as well as winning the deciding match for Czech Republic's Davis Cup winning team in 2012 and again in 2013. Mahesh Shrinivas Bhupathi (born 7 June 1974) is an Indian former doubles world No. 1 tennis player. In 1997, he became the first Indian to win a major tournament (with Rika Hiraki). International Series Gold (previously known as the Championship Series) was a series of professional tennis tournaments held internationally between 2000 and 2008 that were part of the Association of Tennis Professionals, ATP Tour. The tournaments were positioned below the ATP Masters Series, and above the ATP International Series in terms of prize money and ranking points available.
