The 2007 Berlin Marathon was the 34th edition of the Berlin Marathon. The marathon took place in Berlin, Germany, on 30 September 2007 and was the fourth World Marathon Majors race of the year. The men's race was won by Haile Gebrselassie in 2:04:26 hours and the women's race was won by Gete Wami in a time of 2:23:17 hours. Eva-Maria Gradwohl (born March 29, 1973 in Weiz) is a retired Austrian long-distance and marathon runner. She is also four-time Austrian national champion in half-marathon, three-time in marathon, and two-time in 10-km road run. In 2010 Gradwohl retired from her sporting career, after refusing to take a doping test; according to NADA director Andreas Schwab, refusing to undergo a doping test was considered a positive test, and would be an obvious breach of the rules imposed in every sporting competition. Hayley Haining (born 6 March 1972 in Dumfries) is a British runner who was nominated as a reserve for the British team for the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008 Olympic Games. Helena Loshanyang Kirop (born 9 September 1976) is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specialises in marathon running. Her personal best for the distance is 2:23:37 hours (set in 2011) and she has won the Prague International Marathon and Venice Marathon.
