2007 Barcelona KIA
The 2007 Barcelona KIA was a tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the first edition of the Barcelona Ladies Open as part of the WTA Tour and was part of the WTA Tier IV tournaments of the 2007 WTA Tour. It was held in Barcelona, Spain, from 11 June through 17 June 2007. WTA Tier IV Tournaments
The WTA Tier IV tournaments were Women's Tennis Association fourth-level tournaments held from 1990 until the end of the 2008 season. The line-up of events varied over the years, with tournaments being promoted, demoted or cancelled. Some of the tournaments became Tier V events between 1990 and 1992, and later from 2001 to 2005, before being integrated back into Tier IV. Carla Suárez Navarro (; born 3 September 1988, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria) is a Spanish former professional tennis player. A former top 10 singles player, she reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 6 on 29 February 2016, and a best WTA doubles ranking of 11, on 27 April 2015, and won two singles and three doubles titles on the WTA Tour. She first came to prominence by reaching the quarterfinals of the 2008 French Open as a qualifier, in what was her first appearance in the main draw of a Grand Slam tournament. Mariya Serhiyivna Koryttseva ( uk, Марія Сергіївна Коритцева; born 25 May 1985) is a Ukrainian former tennis player. On 18 August 2008, she achieved her career-high singles ranking of world No. 50. On 23 June 2008, she peaked at No. 39 in the doubles rankings. Career Koryttseva made a surprising run to the final of the Sunfeast Open, held in Kolkata, in September 2007. Tatiana Yurevna Perebiynis ( ua, Тетяна Юріївна Перебийніс; born 15 December 1982) is a former professional tennis player from Ukraine.
