2006–07 Pro A Season
The 2006–07 LNB Pro A season was the 85th season of the French Basketball Championship and the 20th season since inception of the Ligue Nationale de Basketball (LNB) . The regular season started on September 23, 2006 and ended on April 27, 2007. The play-offs were held from May 15, 2007 till June 2, 2007. Roanne, after finishing at the second top seed of the regular season, won its second French Pro A League title by defeating Nancy in playoffs final (81-74). LNB Pro A
The LNB Pro A, currently known for sponsorship reasons as Betclic Élite, is the top-tier men's professional basketball league in France. The competition has existed since 1921. Since 1987, the Ligue Nationale de Basket has governed the league. The bottom two placed teams from each season are relegated to the second tier level Pro B. The winner of the play-offs of the Pro A is crowned the French national champion. Competition format All 16 Pro A League teams play each other twice during the regular season. At the end of the regular season, the top eight teams qualify for the playoffs. The two teams with the worst regular season records are relegated to the 2nd-tier Pro B. Through the 1985–86 season, the league championship was determined by a one-off final, or solely by league play. JL Bourg-en-Bresse
Jeunesse Laïque de Bourg-en-Bresse, commonly known as JL Bourg or simply Bourg, is a basketball club based in Bourg-en-Bresse, France that plays in the Pro A. Their home arena is Ekinox, which has a capacity of 3,548 people. History In 2014, JL Bourg adopted its new home arena Ekinox which replaced the Salle des Sports. This year the team also promoted to the Pro A after it won the Pro B Playoffs. They relegated back after the 2014–15 season.
