2006–07 F.C. Copenhagen Season
F.C. Copenhagen won the Danish Superliga trophy and competed in UEFA Champions League in the season 2006-07. The championship was secured on 9 May 2007 after winning 1–0 at Brøndby Stadion against arch rivals Brøndby IF. On August 23, Copenhagen qualified for the UEFA Champions League as the first Danish team since 1998 after eliminating Ajax 3–2 on aggregate. In the group stage, they finished last in their group despite earning seven points. Copenhagen lost the finals in both the Royal League and Danish Cup against Brøndby and Odense Boldklub respectively. Ståle Solbakken
Ståle Solbakken (born 27 February 1968) is a Norwegian professional football manager and former player who is the manager of the Norway national team. During his playing career, Solbakken was named 1995 Norwegian midfielder of the year, and he won the Danish Superliga championship with both Aalborg BK and Copenhagen (in 1999 and 2001 respectively). He played 58 matches and scored nine goals for the Norway national football team during the end of the 1990s, and represented Norway at the 1998 World Cup and 2000 European Championship tournaments. He ended his active career in March 2001 following a heart attack. As a manager, he was named 2004 Norwegian Manager of the Year, and has won eight Danish Superliga championships with Copenhagen. Viborg FF
Viborg Fodsports Forening ("Viborg Footsport Association"), or Viborg F.F. and VFF for short, is a Danish professional football club based in Viborg. The club was founded in 1896 and waited more than a century before winning its only national trophy, the 2000 Danish Cup. History Viborg FF was founded in 1896, with several other sports apart from football - among other things were gymnastics, cricket, field hockey, boxing, athletics, skiing, weight-lifting, and wrestling. FC Midtjylland
FC Midtjylland (, "Central Jutland") is a Danish professional football club based in Herning and Ikast in the western part of Jutland. The club is the result of a merger between Ikast FS and Herning Fremad. Midtjylland competes in the Danish Superliga, which they have won three times, most recently in 2020. Jesper Bech
Jesper Bech (born 25 May 1982) is a Danish former professional footballer. He played as a striker. He has gained two caps for the Denmark national team. Biography Bech played his youth years for Ålholm IF, Skjold Birkerød, B 1903, Lyngby BK and KB. He got his national breakthrough with F.C. Copenhagen in the Danish Superliga championship, where he debuted in April 2004. He scored seven goals in nine games during his first season, and helped the club win the 2003–04 Danish Superliga title as well as the 2004 Danish Cup trophy. Hjalte Bo Nørregaard (born 8 April 1981) is a Danish professional football manager and former player. He was most recently the caretaker manager of Danish Superliga club FC Copenhagen. As a player, he played as a midfielder and spent most of his career with FC Copenhagen. Nørregaard is son of former Danish footballer Klaus Nørregaard. The 2006–07 Danish Cup was the 53rd version of the Danish Cup. The tournament was won by Odense Boldklub who defeated F.C. Copenhagen at May 17 in Parken Stadium. In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season.
