2006–07 EDF Energy Cup
The 2006–07 EDF Energy Cup marked the 36th season of English domestic rugby union cup competition. It was the second season under the Anglo-Welsh format and the first with EDF Energy as title sponsor. The competition began on 1 September and concluded with the final on Sunday 15 April at Twickenham, where Leicester Tigers beat the Ospreys 41–35. The teams competing remained the same as the previous season with the exception of newly promoted NEC Harlequins, replacing Leeds Tykes, who were relegated to National Division One. Sonny Parker (rugby Union)
Sonny Toi Parker (born 27 August 1977 in Thames, New Zealand) is a Welsh rugby union footballer who played for the Wales national rugby union team. He played for Pontypridd and the Celtic Warriors, before moving to the Ospreys when the Warriors region collapsed. He retired from Wales because of the demands of international rugby at the end of 2005 but was brought back by Gareth Jenkins for the 2006 Autumn internationals, and was subsequently selected in Wales' 2007 World Cup squad. Parker finished his Welsh career with 31 caps and six tries. He was the 1007th player to be capped by Wales. Michael Stephenson (rugby Player)
Michael Stephenson (born 28 September 1980 in Tynemouth) is a rugby union footballer, who plays at Touch My Pitch Up. He previously played at Fullback for Percy Park RFC and formerly for England. Stephenson began his career with the Newcastle Falcons, winning two English Cups in 2001 and 2004 during five years in the Falcons' first team before moving to Bath in the Summer of 2005, Stephenson then joined Leeds Carnegie before signing for Percy Park RFC and Percy Park Sharks. He currently plays for Touch My Pitch Up, sometimes. They have reached the play-off finals four years running and were unbeaten in the season leading up to the 2017 play-offs. Duncan Bell (rugby)
Duncan Stuart Crampton Bell (born 1 October 1974 in King's Lynn, Norfolk) is an English rugby union player who retired from professional rugby in 2014. Following this he spent some time as player-coach for Lydney Rugby Football Club. Educated at Colston's Collegiate School, Bristol, he is an England international with five caps and currently divides his time between working with the RFU and as a mortgage broker for Chartwell Funding. Born in Norfolk, Bell was raised in the South Gloucestershire village of Hawkesbury Upton. He attended Colston's Collegiate School with Chris Taylor the Gloucestershire cricketer with whom he shares a great friendship. Marko Peter Stanojevic ( sr, Stanojević; born 1 October 1979 in irmingham, England) is an Italian rugby union footballer. He last played on the wing for Italian Top12 club Rovigo. Before his move to Italy, he had played four seasons with Bristol in England. Playing career Born in Birmingham to a Serbian father and Italian mother, Stanojevic played his school rugby at Warwick School. Hugh David Watkins (born 3 September 1963) is a Welsh former rugby union referee. He was selected as a touch judge at the 2007 Rugby World Cup, before being used as a television match official later in the competition. Ludovic Mercier (born 1 November 1976) is a French rugby union player, currently playing for the Top12 team Petrarca Rugby. He is a fly half. He was one of the quickest players in history to reach 500 Premiership points; his goal-kicking and place kicking being his particular strengths. Whilst at Gloucester he started in the 2002 Zurich Championship Final (the year before winning the play-offs constituted winning the English title) in which Gloucester defeated Bristol Rugby, scoring one conversion and seven penalties.
