The 2006–07 2. Bundesliga was the 33rd season of the 2. Bundesliga, the second tier of Football in Germany, Germany football league. Karlsruher SC, FC Hansa Rostock and MSV Duisburg were promoted to the Bundesliga. Rot-Weiss Essen, SpVgg Unterhaching, SV Wacker Burghausen and Eintracht Braunschweig were relegated to the Regionalliga. League table For the 2006–07 season FC Augsburg, TuS Koblenz, FC Carl Zeiss Jena and Rot-Weiss Essen were newly promoted to the 2. Bundesliga from the Regionalliga while 1. FC Kaiserslautern, 1. FC Köln and MSV Duisburg had been relegated to the league from the Bundesliga. Karlsruher SC
Karlsruher SC is a German association football club, based in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg that currently plays in the 2. Bundesliga, the second tier of German football. Domestically, the club was crowned German champion in 1909, and won the DFB-Pokal in 1955 and 1956. In Europe, KSC won the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 1996, which remains the club's last major honor. Formed as Karlsruher Fussball Club Phönix in 1894, the modern form of the club was formed as the result of several mergers in 1952, and its early success granted KSC a spot in the inaugural Bundesliga season in 1963. KSC spent the next few decades as a yo-yo club frequently being promoted and relegated between the top two divisions, with their best Bundesliga season coming in 1996 when KSC finished 6th in the table. TuS Koblenz is a German association football club, located in Koblenz, Rhineland-Palatinate. Fussball Club Deutschland Neuendorf, which was formed in 1911, is viewed as the foundation of the modern club. Patrick Helmes (born 1 March 1984) is a German former professional footballer who played as a striker. He most recently worked as the manager of Alemannia Aachen. Helmes retired from professional football at the age of 31. Club career Early career As a youth player, Helmes was active in local clubs in Freudenberg, Westphalia and Siegen. He joined 1. Axel Lawarée (born 9 October 1973) is a Belgian former professional footballer, who played as a striker, and the current sporting director of Standard Liège. Management career In 2010, Lawarée founded a consulting firm which was named Axel Lawarée Consulting SPRL and was located in Oupeye, Belgium. The firm was also working together with the Royal Belgian Football Association. Edmond Kapllani (born 31 July 1982) is a former Albanian footballer. Club career Born in Durrës, Albania, Kapllani began his career with KS Teuta Durrës, KF Partizani Tirana and KS Besa Kavajë in the Albanian Superliga. Regionalliga Süd (1994–2012)
The Regionalliga Süd ( en, Regional League South) was the fourth tier of the German football league system from 2008 to 2012. Until the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008, it was the third tier. It was the highest regional league for the southern part of Germany. It covered the states of Bavaria, Hesse and Baden-Württemberg and was one of three leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga West. The Regionalliga Nord ( en, Regional League North) is the fourth tier of the German football league system in the states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen and Hamburg. The 2007–08 Regionalliga season was the 14th season of the Regionalliga at tier three of the German football league system. It was contested in two geographical divisions with eighteen teams in the south and nineteen in the north. The champions, Rot Weiss Ahlen and FSV Frankfurt, and the runners-up, Rot-Weiß Oberhausen and FC Ingolstadt 04, of every division were promoted to the 2. Bundesliga. With the introduction of the 3. The 2007–08 Bundesliga was the 45th season of the Bundesliga, Germany's premier football league. It began on 10 August 2007 and ended on 17 May 2008. VfB Stuttgart were the defending champions.
