The 2005–06 season was the 103rd competitive season in Belgium, Belgian association football, football. Overview For the first season since 2000, the football Belgian fancard, fancard is not needed to see a Belgian First Division, first division game. Tickets for matches can now be purchased with a single ID card and on the day of the match, which was not permitted since the introduction of the fancard. Furthermore, for the second season in history (the first time was in the 1960s), one game of each matchday is shown on public television. Another premiere is that every Jupiler League game can be watched on a private television channel. René Trost
René Hubertus Johannes Trost (born 31 January 1965) is a Dutch professional football manager and former player who is the head coach of Eerste Klasse club Chevremont. Career Trost played fifteen seasons at Roda JC; in between he spent half a season on loan at VVV-Venlo. He played 323 professional matches and scored 23 goals in them. As a manager, Trost was assistant at Roda JC from 1998 to 2005. He then managed Patro Maasmechelen in Belgium, before replacing Paul Put at Lierse SK after Put was named in a bribery case. In 2006–07 he resigned after he won two points out of twelve matches at the start of the season. Laurent Delorge (born 21 July 1979) is a Belgian former footballer. He formerly served AA Gent, Coventry City, Lierse SK, RSC Anderlecht, ADO Den Haag, Ajax and Roda JC Kerkrade. Career After scoring five goals in ten appearances in his Jupiler League debut season for AA Gent he was transferred to Coventry City who at the time were playing in the FA Premier League. Delorge signed for Coventry midway through the 1998/99 season, however he didn't make his first appearance for the club until 29 January 2000, when he came on as a substitute in Coventry's defeat to Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup. Marius Mitu (born 10 September 1976) is a retired Romanian midfielder who last played for CSM Râmnicu Vâlcea. Mitu has played for R.S.C. Aimé Anthuenis (born 21 December 1943) is a Belgian former professional Association football, football player and manager. He managed the Belgium national football team between 2002 and 2005. After a career as a defender, Anthuenis moved into coaching, first as the head coach of KSC Lokeren, Lokeren's youth sector, then rising to the position of head coach of the club's first team. In 1994 he reached the semifinals of the 1993–94 Belgian Cup, Belgian Cup with Germinal Ekeren, while finishing the national championship in 10th place.
