Hong Kong Second Division League
Hong Kong Second Division League () is the third level of football league in Hong Kong founded in 1909. The top two teams are promoted to the Hong Kong First Division. Competition format * Each team plays the other teams twice, one home and one away game. The ticket profits go to the home team. If there are two matches in the same stadium on the day, the profits are shared between the two home teams. * Since most of the teams do not have a home ground, the matches will be playing on different grounds. It happens that one team plays their home games in different stadiums in the same season. * The bottom two teams are relegated to the Hong Kong Third Division. Sai Kung Friends Football Club () is a Hong Kong football club which currently competes in the Hong Kong Third Division. History In 1997–98, they finished third in Hong Kong Second Division, but due to first and second HKFC and Jung Fuk gave up on promotion to Hong Kong First Division. Sai Kung Friends were promoted to Hong Kong First Division for the first time. Although having Brazilian striker, Tomy Adriano Giacomeli on the team, their overall strength was rather weak. Of the 8 teams in the 1998-99 First Division, they ranked 7th. However, HKFC and Fire Services both declined promotion, allowing Friends to remain in the First Division. In 1999–2000, striker Tomy Adriano Giacomeli transferred to Happy Valley AA, Happy Valley, Sai Kung Friends' strength continued to decline. Lee Hong Lim (, born 29 September 1983) is a Hong Kong professional footballer who currently plays as a left winger for Hong Kong Premier League club Lee Man. He is the brother of former professional footballer Lee Wai Lim. Early age Lee Hong Lim and his brother, Lee Wai Lim grew up in Hong Kong Sha Tau Kok. They were discovered and recruited by Chan Ping, the team manager of Tai Po, who was impressed by the brothers in a street match. Club career Tai Po Tai Po was in the Third Division when the brothers joined the team.
