2008–09 Hong Kong FA Cup (officially named Sheffield United F.A. Cup due to sponsorship from Chengdu Blades F.C. Ltd, ) was the 35th season of Hong Kong FA Cup. NT Realty Wofoo Tai Po won the title, and qualified for the 2010 AFC Cup as TSW Pegasus won the 2008–09 Hong Kong Senior Challenge Shield but was not eligible to compete in Asian competitions as not a full member of the Hong Kong Football Association. Tai Po Football Club (), also known as Wofoo Tai Po due to sponsorship reasons, is a Hong Kong professional football club which currently competes in the Hong Kong Premier League. In the 2018–19 season, Tai Po successfully won their first top-flight title in club history. The club is the first district team to win a top-flight title since Yuen Long during the 1962–63 season and the first-ever district team to win the Hong Kong Premier League title. Mutual FC
Sparta Asia Football Club () is a Hong Kong football club currently competing in the Hong Kong Second Division. During the 2008–09 season, it once competed in the top-tier Hong Kong First Division, and was relegated after finishing 12th out of 13 teams. At the end of the 2010–11 season, after gaining promotion to the First Division from the runner-up position in the Second Division, it withdrew from the First Division and was expunged from the Hong Kong league system by the HKFA. IT rejoined the league system and competed in the Fourth Division in the 2012–13 season. In 2015, the Asia football academy of the Dutch Eredivisie club Sparta Rotterdam took charge of the club and it rebranded as Sparta Rotterdam Mutual FC. The partnership ended after 2018. Lee Hong Lim (, born 29 September 1983) is a Hong Kong professional footballer who currently plays as a left winger for Hong Kong Premier League club Lee Man. He is the brother of former professional footballer Lee Wai Lim. Early age Lee Hong Lim and his brother, Lee Wai Lim grew up in Hong Kong Sha Tau Kok. They were discovered and recruited by Chan Ping, the team manager of Tai Po, who was impressed by the brothers in a street match.
