Binky Favis
Vincent Kenneth Marasigan Favis, better known as Binky Favis, is a Filipino people, Filipino former professional basketball head coach and politician. Coaching career He was also a former player of the UST Growling Tigers and was an assistant coach of the 1993 squad, which swept the University Athletic Association of the Philippines men's basketball tournament, he also stayed until 1997. Favis is a former coach of the Letran Knights in the NCAA Philippines, NCAA leading them to a title in 1999. He also coached in Philippine Basketball League for several teams. In 2000, he was hired by Chot Reyes as an assistant coach for Pop Cola Panthers. When Pop Cola was sold to Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Coke Philippines in 2001, he stayed to be an assistant coach for Powerade Tigers, Coke Tigers and won two PBA championships. San Miguel Beermen
The San Miguel Beermen are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). It is one of three PBA clubs owned by the San Miguel Corporation group of companies along with the Magnolia Hotshots and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. It is the most successful franchise in the history of the PBA and the only remaining original franchise in the league. The Beermen have the most titles with 28 and the most all-time victories with more than 1,200 wins. Cuneta Astrodome
The Cuneta Astrodome is an indoor arena that is located in Pasay, Philippines. Since the 1993 PBA season, it was better known as the home of the Philippine Basketball Association. when it left the PhilSports Arena (that was then known as ULTRA), up until the 1998 PBA season, 1998 and since 2001 PBA season, 2001. Alaska Aces (PBA)
The Alaska Aces were a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association since 1986 under the ownership of Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) and the owner of 14 PBA championships, tied with the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and the Magnolia Hotshots for the second-most titles overall. They are one of the most popular teams in the league and the Philippines. The Aces won nine PBA championships in the 1990s, including a rare grand slam (winning three championships in one season) during the 1996 season, joining the Crispa Redmanizers (1976, 1983), San Miguel Beermen (1989), and the San Mig Super Coffee Mixers ( 2013–14) as one of only four franchises to achieve the feat. Omar Thomas
Omar Abdul Thomas (born February 27, 1982) is an American former professional basketball player. Early years Thomas was born in Philadelphia. Having taken the first steps to Strawberry Mansion High School and at Panola Junior College (Texas), passes to the prestigious University of Texas El Paso (UTEP), taking leave in 2005 with figures of all respect. Professional career After the university, Thomas had a tryout with the Seattle SuperSonics but did not sign contract. Then he went to the Coca-Cola Tigers in the Philippines. After one year he went to the NBA Development League (NBDL) with the Austin Toros. His career continued in the Dominican Republic with the Deportivo Naco.
