Binky Favis
Vincent Kenneth Marasigan Favis, better known as Binky Favis, is a Filipino people, Filipino former professional basketball head coach and politician. Coaching career He was also a former player of the UST Growling Tigers and was an assistant coach of the 1993 squad, which swept the University Athletic Association of the Philippines men's basketball tournament, he also stayed until 1997. Favis is a former coach of the Letran Knights in the NCAA Philippines, NCAA leading them to a title in 1999. He also coached in Philippine Basketball League for several teams. In 2000, he was hired by Chot Reyes as an assistant coach for Pop Cola Panthers. When Pop Cola was sold to Coca-Cola Beverages Philippines, Coke Philippines in 2001, he stayed to be an assistant coach for Powerade Tigers, Coke Tigers and won two PBA championships. The 2004–05 PBA Philippine Cup, or known as the 2004-05 Gran Matador Brandy-PBA Philippine Cup for sponsorship reasons, was the All-Filipino Conference of the Philippine Basketball Association's (PBA) 2004-05 season. The Barangay Ginebra Kings won its first back-to-back titles with a 4-2 conquest of the Talk 'N Text Phone Pals. The series was marred by a controversial reversal of the Phone Pals' Game One victory after fielding in an ineligible Asi Taulava in the said game. Taulava was serving an indefinite suspension after being cited as one of six Filipino-American players with questionable citizenship papers. 2004 PBA Fiesta Conference
The 2004 PBA Fiesta Conference, or known as the 2004 Gran Matador Brandy-PBA Fiesta Conference for sponsor (commercial), sponsorship reasons, was tournament held by the Philippine Basketball Association and the first ever edition of the PBA Fiesta Conference. Prior to the formation of the said conference, the league had two import-laced conferences known as the PBA Commissioner's Cup (with an import height-limit of 6–8), and the PBA Governor's Cup (with an import height-limit of 6–4). However, in 2003, the two conferences were scrapped and was replaced with an Invitational tournament, with an All-Filipino local squad along with foreign teams) and an import-laced Reinforced Conference.
