2005–06 ABA Goodyear League
The fifth season brought another change in the competition structure. Following the idea to make the league as strong as possible the management of the Goodyear league decided to reduce the number of clubs from 16 to 14 again. 14 teams from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro participated in Goodyear League in its fifth season: Union Olimpija, Helios, Pivovarna Laško, Geoplin Slovan, Cibona, Zadar, Zagreb, Široki ERONET, Bosna ASA BH TELECOM, Crvena zvezda, Partizan, Hemofarm, FMP Železnik, Vojvodina Srbijagas. There were 26 rounds played in the regular part of the season, best eight teams qualified for the Final Eight Tournament which was played in Sarajevo since April 20 until April 23, 2006. FMP Železnik became the Goodyear League Champion. NLB League
The ABA League, renamed to the ABA League First Division in 2017, is the 1st-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia). Due to sponsorship reasons, the league was also known as the Goodyear League from 2001 to 2006, the NLB League from 2006 to 2011, and as the AdmiralBet ABA League from 2021. The league coexists alongside scaled-down national leagues in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. All but one of Adriatic League clubs join their country's own competitions in late spring after the Adriatic League regular season and post-season have been completed. Goran Dragić
Goran Dragić (born 6 May 1986) is a Slovenian professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed "the Dragon", he had played professional basketball in Slovenia and Spain before entering the NBA in 2008. Dragić has also played for the Phoenix Suns, Miami Heat, Houston Rockets, Toronto Raptors, and the Brooklyn Nets. Yotam Halperin ( he, יותם הלפרין; born January 24, 1984) is an Israeli former professional basketball player. He is currently the sporting director for Hapoel Jerusalem of the Israeli Premier League and the Champions League. He is a 1.93 m (6 ft 4 in) tall combo guard. Goran Jeretin (Serbian Cyrillic: Горан Јеретин; born 17 September 1979) is a Montenegrin former professional basketball player. Professional career His first team was Ibon, where he played until 2001, when he moved to KK Lovćen. Milenko Topić (; born 6 March 1969) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player.
