2005 FIA WTCC Race Of Turkey
The 2005 FIA WTCC Race Of Turkey was the eighth round of the 2005 World Touring Car Championship season. It was held at Istanbul Park. The first race was won by Fabrizio Giovanardi in an Alfa Romeo 1-2. Alfa Romeo finished 1-2 in the second race also, with Gabriele Tarquini emerging the victor. Wiechers-Sport is a German auto racing team which is based in Nienburg. The team was first established in 1999, competing in German touring cars. The team currently competes in the World Touring Car Championship. Marc Hennerici
Marc Hennerici (born 10 May 1982 in Mayen) is a German auto racing driver. He is best known for being the first winner of the World Touring Car Championship's Independents Trophy, in 2005. Racing career Hennerici competed in Formula BMW from 1999 and 2001. In 2003 he won the Alfa Romeo 147 Cup in Germany. In 2004 he competed in the DMSB Produktionswagen Meisterschaft driving a BMW 320i for Wiechers-Sport, finishing fourth. He and Wiechers-Sport moved to the new World Touring Car Championship in 2005. Proteam Motorsport is an Italian auto racing team based in Arezzo that was set up by former driver Valmiro Presenzini in 1997. They are best known for their efforts in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. Their time in the WTCC has seen them become the most successful independent team in the championship, winning three Independent Team titles in 1996, 2007 and 2008. Giuseppe Cirò (born 28 November 1975, in Rossano) is an Italian auto racing driver. Career He started his racing career in 1990 through karting. He started circuit racing in 1995 with Italian Renault Clio Cup, winning the championship three times in 1996, 2003 and 2004. Between those titles, he also competed in the Italian Renault Megane Cup, and the Renault Clio Eurocup. In 2005, the team he was driving for, Proteam Motorsport, entered the inaugural FIA World Touring Car Championship. Carl "Calle" Rosenblad (born 28 April 1969, in Västervik) is a Swedish auto racing driver. He is married with two children. Racing career His first racing was in Swedish Formula Opel in 1990, where he drove for four seasons. He also drove in the Swedish Porsche Challenge and the European Interseries from 1991. In 1996 he got a drive in the International Formula 3000, with the British Alpha Plus Team. The season was not a successful one, ending with no championship points. In 1997 he switched to the FIA GT Championship, with a GT1 Class Porsche 911 for the Kremer Racing Team, again with little success. He moved to touring cars in 1998, driving a Nissan Primera in the Swedish Touring Car Championship.
