2004–05 Ligue Magnus Season
The 2004–05 Ligue Magnus season was the 84th regular season of the ice hockey elite league in France and the first to take the name of Ligue Magnus. Results Regular season Playoffs National Pool Relegation Pool Relegation matches Clermont-Ferrand faces Caen, vice champion of FFHG Division 1, Division 1 in two matches the 23 and 26 April 2005. After a tie in the first leg match 4-4, Caen won the serie in the second leg matches with a victory 8 to 2. Caen is promoted in Ligue Magnus at the expense of Clermont-Ferrand. Season Champion Scorpions de Mulhouse (1997-2005), Mulhouse win the first Magnus Cup in its history. Clermont is relegated in Division 1, but due to financial difficulties, the club filed for bankruptcy. For similar reasons, Tours and Mulhouse were not allowed by the federation to rejoin ligue Magnus the next season. Tours is relegated to FFHG Division 2, Division 2, Mulhouse filed for bankruptcy. Regular Season

Corsaires De Dunkerque
The Corsaires de Dunkerque are an ice hockey team in Dunkerque, France. They were founded in 1979, and play in the FFHG Division 1, the second level of French ice hockey. The Corsaires previously played in the Ligue Magnus. History The Corsaires de Dunkerque were formed in 1979. After playing in the FFHG Division 1 league through the nineties the team moved up to the Ligue Magnus for the start of the 2002-03 season. After surviving relegation in the 2003-04 season the Corsaires were relegated back to Division 1 due to financial reasons. In 2007 the team were sent to the Division 1 relegation round and were relegated to the FFHG Division 2 for the 2007-08 season. In their fourth season in Division 2 the Corsaires won the 2011 playoffs and earned promotion back to Division 2. Fabrice Lhenry
Fabrice Lhenry (born June 29, 1972) is a French former professional ice hockey goaltender. He is currently the head coach of Dragons de Rouen of the Ligue Magnus. Lhenry played the majority of his career in France with a visit to the Germany (1997–98 and 1998–99) and Italy (2000–01) before going to Denmark. From beginning of season 2005, Lhenry played in the newly formed EfB Ishockey in Esbjerg, Denmark and from 2006 alongside France international teammate Olivier Coqueux. After four seasons in Esbjerg, Lhenry returned to France to play in the Ligue Magnus for Dragons de Rouen from season 2009–10 until his retirement in 2015. Laurent Meunier
Laurent Meunier (born January 16, 1979) is a French-born Swiss former professional ice hockey player who spent most of his career in Switzerland playing in the National League (NL) and the Swiss League (SL). He also captained the French National team for 13 years, the longest serving captain of a national sporting team in the world. Meunier currently co-hosts hockey TV show, ''Le Repas d'équipe'', with fellow French-born Swiss former goaltender Cristobal Huet on MySports. Career International retirement In May 2017, Meunier played at the 2017 IIHF World Championship, in Paris, representing France, as lead team captain. Steven Reinprecht
Steven Edward Reinprecht (born May 7, 1976) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward. Undrafted into the NHL, he was signed as a free agent following his NCAA career with the Wisconsin Badgers by the Los Angeles Kings. During his rookie season, he was traded to the Colorado Avalanche and went on to win a Stanley Cup championship that year with the team. Reinprecht has additionally played for the Calgary Flames, Phoenix Coyotes and Florida Panthers. Later, he took his game to the German DEL. Representing the Canadian national team, he won gold at the 2003 World Championships. He typically played at the centre position and was known for his two-way versatility. FFHG Division 2 (Fédération Française de Hockey sur Glace Division 2 or French Ice Hockey Federation Division 2) is an amateur ice hockey league in France. It is the third of four levels of national ice hockey in France. The teams that end at the bottom of the table get relegated to FFHG Division 3 while the top get promoted to FFHG Division 1. FFHG Division 1
FFHG Division 1 (Fédération Française de Hockey sur Glace Division 1 or French Ice Hockey Federation Division 1) is a semi-professional ice hockey league in France. It is the second of four levels of national ice hockey in France. The teams that end at the bottom of the table get relegated to FFHG Division 2 while the top get promoted to Ligue Magnus. 2021/22 Teams FFHG Division 1 consists of 14 teams. Season During the regular season, each team plays each of the other teams twice: once at home and once away (26 games). In the event of a tie at the end of three periods, one 10-minute overtime period is played based sudden-death rules.
