2004 Porsche Supercup
The 2004 Porsche Michelin Supercup season was the 12th Porsche Supercup season. The races were all supporting races in the 2004 Formula One season. It travelled to ten circuits across Europe and a double-header at Indianapolis, USA. It was the last season that the 996 model was raced. It was replaced with the 997 model in 2005. Porsche Supercup
The Porsche Supercup (officially known as Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup, known as Porsche Michelin Supercup prior to 2007) is an international one-make sports car racing series supporting the FIA Formula One World Championship organized by Porsche Motorsport GmbH. Porsche Supercup drivers compete in identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. On average, 24 race cars take part in each race. Most circuits visited by the series are European, although circuits in Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, the United States and Mexico have been included in the calendar as well. History Since 1993 the Porsche Michelin Supercup has run as support to the FIA Formula One World Championship. Clivio Piccione
Clivio Piccione (born February 24, 1984 in Monte Carlo, Monaco) is a Monégasque race car driver. He raced in the 2005 GP2 Series season for the Durango team and David Price Racing for 2006. Career Piccione's career started in karting in 1997, where he stayed until 2001 before moving up to British Formula Ford. He only spent one season there, debuting in British Formula 3's B-Class in 2002 for the T-Sport team. 2003 saw him move up to the main class with the Manor team, where he won the a race at Knockhill. For 2004, he joined Carlin Motorsport and won two races at Donington Park. In 2005 the Monegasque driver drove in the inaugural GP2 Series season, driving for the Durango team, winning the sprint race at the Nürburgring round. Dirk Werner
Dirk Werner (born 25 May 1981 in Hannover, Lower Saxony) is a German Porsche factory racing driver. Born in Hannover, Werner was 2007 and 2009 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series champion for Farnbacher-Loles Racing driving a Porsche 911 and finished third in the GT Class in the 2011 American Le Mans Series season. Werner has scored podiums various high level endurance races, including the 24 Hours of Daytona, 24 Hours of Spa, 24 Hours of Nürburgring, 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans. Since 2010, Werner is a BMW works driver, and has competed at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Le Mans Series and the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup in addition to the American Le Mans Series. Wolf Henzler
Wolfgang Henzler (born 5 April 1975) is a former German Porsche factory racing driver. He began racing in 1991 with a win in the German Junior Kart championship. Born in Nürtingen, Baden-Württemberg, he won one time the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2010 in the GTE PRO category. His last major championship win was in the GT class of the 2013 Petit Le Mans. Dominik Farnbacher (born 26 September 1984 in Ansbach) is a German sports car racing driver, and currently an SRT factory driver, driving an SRT Viper GTS-R in the Tudor United SportsCar Championship. Career After beginning his career in karting, Farnbacher competed in Formula BMW Junior in 2001, finishing 9th in the championship. He then moved to sports car racing, participating in Porsche Carrera Cup Germany, at first for his father's team, Farnbacher Racing; he also participated in the 2004 Porsche Supercup season. Christian Mamerow
Christian Mamerow (born 25 February 1985) is a German racing driver. He is the son of Peter Mamerow. Career Mamerow began his motorsport career in 1997 in karting, which he practiced until 1999. In 2000 he switched to Formula BMW, where he remained until 2002. His best result there was fourth place overall in 2002. After a year without a permanent cockpit, he was given a place in the UPS Porsche Junior Team in 2004 and competed in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany. Mike Rockenfeller (born 31 October 1983), nicknamed "Rocky", is a German professional racing driver and was an Audi factory driver competing in the DTM and the FIA World Endurance Championship. He won his first DTM title in 2013, driving for Audi Sport Team Phoenix. He also won the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans.
