2004 LNBP Season
The 2004 LNBP was the 5th season of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional, one of the professional basketball leagues of Mexico. It started on July 1, 2004 and ended on December 8, 2004. The league title was won by Santos Reales de San Luis, which defeated Halcones UV Xalapa in the championship series, 4–2. Format 20 teams participate. The teams are divided in 2 groups of 10 teams each, called ''Zonas'' (zones): ''Zona Norte'' (North) and ''Zona Sur'' (South). The first 8 teams of each group qualify for the playoffs. The group playoffs have quarterfinals (best-of-5), semifinals (best-of-7) and finals (best-of-7). The winner of each group series qualify for the championship series (best-of-7), named ''Campeón de Campeones'' (Champion of Champions). Tepic
Tepic () is the capital and largest city of the western Mexican state of Nayarit, as well as the seat of the Tepic Municipality. Located in the central part of the state, it stands at an altitude of above sea level, on the banks of the Río Mololoa and the Río Tepic, approximately north-west of Guadalajara, Jalisco. Fresnillo
Fresnillo (/fres'nijo/), founded in 1554 by Francisco de Ibarra, is the second largest city in Zacatecas state, north central Mexico and the seat of Fresnillo municipality. Fuerza Regia De Monterrey
The Fuerza Regia de Monterrey (''Monterrey Royal Force'' in English) is a Mexican professional basketball team based in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico playing in the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). The Correcaminos UAT Victoria (English: ''UAT Victoria Roadrunners'') is a Mexican professional basketball team. It has been a member of the LNBP since the 2000 season.
