2003 Supercupa României
The 2003 Supercupa României was the 7th edition of Romania's season opener cup competition. The match was played in Bucharest at Stadionul Naţional on 2 August 2003, and was contested between Divizia A title holders, Rapid and Cupa României champions, Dinamo. Rapid won the trophy in extra time after a golden goal by substitute Robert Niţă. Supercupa României
The Supercupa României ( en, Romanian Supercup) is a Romanian football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994, with the first edition being won by Steaua București. In 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. At that time, they faced Unirea Urziceni, the Liga I runners-up. The most successful performer so far has been FCSB with 6 wins, followed by Rapid București and CFR Cluj with 4 wins each up until 2021. Emilian Dolha
Emilian Ioan Dolha (born 3 November 1979) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Dolha previously played in his native Romania for Rapid București, Olimpia Satu Mare, Gloria Bistriţa and Dinamo București, he spent two years in Poland, playing for Wisła Kraków and Lech Poznań and he also played in Russia, for Fakel Voronezh. International career Emilian Dolha played two friendly games at international level for Romania, making his debut on 8 December 2000 under coach László Bölöni in a 3–2 victory against Algeria. Daniel Niculae
Daniel George Niculae (; born 6 October 1982) is a former Romanian professional footballer who played mainly as a striker. Currently he is the president of Liga I club Rapid București. He has made 39 appearances for Romania since his debut in 2003. Club career Rapid București Daniel "Nico" Niculae started his professional career at Rapid București in 2000. Despite a period playing for the B team in 2001, Nico proved he is one of the most gifted players of the club, and helped his club to win the championship in the 2002–03 season – his first as a first-team regular. Niculae was Rapid's leading scorer in the 2004–05 season, with 14 goals – the third highest total in Romania's Liga 1. Cornel Buta
Cornel Buta (born 1 November 1977) is a Romanian retired footballer. He played as a right back and occasionally as a libero. Club career He started his professional career at FC Brașov, playing in the first two football leagues in Romania. After three and a half seasons he transferred to Dinamo București as a replacement for Cosmin Contra, who moved to Deportivo Alavés earlier. He stayed only a few months, however, and at the beginning of the next season he moved to Rapid București, where he still could not confirm. As a result, he returned to FC Braşov, where he played for another season and a half. After further spells at Rapid, twice, and FC Naţional, Buta played in Ukraine, at FC Volyn Lutsk, before returning in Romania, at Pandurii Târgu-Jiu. Henry Olufosoye Makinwa (born 6 November 1977) is a Nigerian retired Association football, footballer who played as a Forward (association football), forward. A journeyman, he represented 17 clubs in 11 countries during his professional career (his own included). Florin Bratu
Florin Daniel Bratu (born 2 January 1980) is a Romanian football coach and former player, who played as forward. Club career Bratu began his career with Rapid Bucharest, but shortly after joining the first team, he was loaned to Tractorul Brașov in 2000. At Tractorul he scored eight goals in 27 Divizia B games, before returning to Rapid Bucharest. In the 2002–03 season he won the Divizia A title with Rapid, being the team's top-goalscorer with 11 goals. Valeriu Ionuţ Bordeanu (born 2 February 1977) is a Romanian former footballer who played as a left back and currently he is an assistant coach at CFR Cluj. His father Ioan and brother Alin were also footballers, both of them being goalkeepers.
