Derek Hill (driver)
Derek John Hill (born March 28, 1975 in Santa Monica, California) is an American racing driver. He is the son of Formula One World Champion Phil Hill. Career Early career Hill initially raced karts in California and Ferrari sports cars (his father won his F1 title with the team). Winning three of three races in the championship runoffs in Italy at the Mugello circuit in the Ferrari 355, Hill attracted the attention of the Alfa Romeo Factory DTM team and was invited to test the DTM car at Mugello in November 1995. Jeffrey Van Hooydonk
Jeffrey van Hooydonk (born 1 October 1977) is a Belgian racing car driver. A native of Antwerp, Van Hooydonk began racing karts in 1990 and graduated to open-wheel racing five years later. For the next three seasons, he was successful in Formula Renault, winning the European Formula Super Renault championship in 1997. He progressed to German Formula Three the following year, finishing sixth in the championship, and then moving up to Formula 3000 in 1999. Despite scoring one pole position, the next two years were largely unsuccessful, and he switched to the Belcar series in 2001 with a Porsche 996. After returning the German F3 in 2002, and finishing fifth overall, van Hooydonk was again promoted to F3000 and remained there for the 2003 and 2004 seasons, with moderate success. Tony Schmidt (born 9 May 1980 in Leipzig) is a German racing driver. Career Formula Three Schmidt competed in German Formula Three from 1999 to 2001, establishing himself as a midfield runner. He also scored three podium finishes during these seasons, and competed in the Masters of Formula Three race twice. Formula 3000 Schmidt competed in three seasons of Formula 3000 from 2002 to 2004, again as a midfield runner. Team Astromega
Team Astromega was a racing team from Belgium, headquartered in Heist-op-den-Berg and created in 1995 by Mikke Van Hool. The team competed in A1 Grand Prix and Formula Renault 1.6 Belgium. Raffaele Giammaria
Raffaele Giammaria (born 1 September 1977 in Civitavecchia) is an Italian racing car driver. He was runner-up in the Formula Renault 2000 Italy series in 2000, then progressed through German and Italian Formula Three and Italian Formula 3000 to International Formula 3000 for 2003 with the Durango team. He scored one podium and was placed tenth in the championship with 12 points, a respectable score in his début season. 2004 was even better for Giammaria, with 27 points scored and eighth place in the championship secured by the season's end. However, he missed one of the races due to financial problems, and was forced to switch teams, from Durango to Astromega. It was therefore not much of a surprise when he failed to get a drive in the rebranded GP2 Series for 2005. Giorgio Pantano
Giorgio Pantano (born 4 February 1979) is an Italian professional racing driver who drove for the Jordan Formula One team for much of the 2004 season before being replaced by Timo Glock. He also raced in Formula 3000. He retired from racing at the end of 2014. He raced in the GP2 Series from its inaugural year in 2005 until his championship campaign in 2008, holding the record for most races competed and most races won in the series. Durango Automotive SRL was an Italian auto racing team founded in 1980 by Ivone Pinton and Enrico Magro, which competed in Formula 3000, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the GP2 Series. Philip Giebler (born March 5, 1979 in Oxnard, California) is an American race car driver. Giebler was considered a top American prospect with an opportunity to race in Formula One early in his career. Following years in various Formula Three ranks, Giebler ran in Formula 3000 in 2003 half the season putting up a number of good results. He returned stateside in 2004 running in the Infiniti Pro Series and Toyota Atlantic, capturing a win in his IPS debut at Homestead-Miami Speedway, before being named as one of A1 Grand Prix A1 Team USA's drivers. Robbie Kerr
Robert "Robbie" Kerr (born 26 September 1979 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire) is a British racing driver. In 2002, Kerr won the British Formula 3 championship. Career Early career In 2002 he became the British Formula Three Champion for Alan Docking Racing with 306 points ahead of Australian racing driver James Courtney. Following an abortive attempt at International Formula 3000 in 2003, Kerr did not race again until 2004 when he raced in the Formula Renault V6 Eurocup. At the opening round at Monza Kerr had earned pole position but mechanical problems forced him out. He eventually won a race at the last race of the season in Valencia.
