Carlos Verna
Carlos Alberto Verna (born 8 May 1946) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician who was governor of La Pampa Province twice, from 2003 to 2007 and from 2015 to 2019. He was also a National Senator for La Pampa for two terms, and served as ''intendente'' (mayor) of General Pico. Career Verna entered public service as Mayor of General Pico, and was elected to the Argentine Senate for La Pampa in 1993, and later became Chairman of the Budget Committee. He won the 2003 gubernatorial election with the support of President Carlos Menem, against the candidate of the Front for Victory faction of the Justicialist Party, Néstor Ahuad. Rubén Marín
Rubén Hugo Marín (born May 1, 1934) is a former Argentines, Argentine Senator for La Pampa Province. He was also a governor of the province on two occasions. Marín, a lawyer by profession, is a member of the Argentina, Argentine Justicialist Party. Born in Trenel, Marín enrolled at the National University of La Plata, and graduated with a ''juris doctor'' in 1961. He was Peronist gubernatorial candidate Aquiles Regazzoli's running mate in 1973, and served as Vice Governor of La Pampa from 1973 to 1976. Marín was elected governor in 1983 upon the restoration of democracy, serving until 1987. He was then elected to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies, and two years later, to the Argentine Senate, Senate. Voters returned Marín to the governor's post in 1991, and he was re-elected in 1995 and 1999. Eduardo Fellner
Eduardo Alfredo Fellner (born 16 June 1954) is an Argentine Peronist politician. He was President of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies and governor of Jujuy Province for two terms. Life and times Fellner was born in Río Tercero, Córdoba, and was raised in Villa Palpalá, Jujuy Province, where his father had found work in the Zapla steel mill, the country's oldest and largest. The young Fellner later relocated to Tucumán, where he earned a ''juris doctor'' at the Saint Thomas Aquinas University of the North. He returned to Jujuy in 1983, and was appointed Solicitor General of the province, later becoming District Attorney. Gildo Insfrán
Gildo Insfrán (born 19 January 1951) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician, who has been Governor of Formosa Province since 1995. Having been close to former President Carlos Menem, Insfrán later became close to President Néstor Kirchner, who defeated Menem in 2003 and was the leader of the Justicialist Party. Insfrán has been the target of accusations of corruption and embezzlement, and has been severely criticized for his long tenure. He arranged to have Formosa's provincial constitution revised to allow him to be reelected indefinitely, and has thus been described as having "stuck a knife into the provincial Constitution". Jorge Busti
Jorge Pedro Busti (18 October 1947 – 20 December 2021) was an Argentine politician who served as Justicialist Party governor and senator for Entre Ríos Province. Life and career Busti was born in Concordia, Entre Ríos on 18 October 1947, and graduated as a lawyer at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. He served as Mayor of Concordia from 1983 to 1987, and was first elected governor in 1987. In 1991 he retired as governor and was once again elected Mayor of Concordia. From 1995 to 1999 Busti returned for a second term as governor, then in 1999 became a deputy in the Argentine Chamber of Deputies. In 2001, he was elected to the Argentine Senate, but stepped down in 2003 after being elected for a third term as governor. Two of his former vice-governors have been investigated or prosecuted for corruption. Sergio Alberto Montiel (October 20, 1927 – November 1, 2011) was an Argentinian politician, lawyer, and professor of constitutional law at the National University of the Littoral. Monitel served as Governor of Entre Ríos Province for two nonconsecutive terms: He was first elected on October 30, 1983, and served his first term until 1987. Montiel served a second gubernatorial term from 1999 to 2003. Montiel supported nationalization and opposed the 1993 Pact of Olivos.
