2003 Armenian Cup
The 2003 Armenian Cup was the 12th edition of the Armenian Cup, a football competition. In 2003, the tournament had 17 participants, out of which 6 were reserve teams. Results First round The first legs were played on 15 and 16 March 2003. The second legs were played on 19 and 20 March 2003. Quarter-finals The first legs were played on 23 and 24 March 2003. FC Araks
Araks Ararat FC ( hy, Արաքս Արարատ Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ), is a defunct Armenian association football, football club from the town of Ararat, Armenia, Ararat, Ararat Province. Club history The club was founded in 1960 as FC Ararat to represent the town of Ararat, Armenia, Ararat. With the independence of Armenia, the Ararat Cement Factory took over FC Ararat in 1993 and the club was renamed FC Tsement Ararat. They played in the Armenian Premier League and won two titles, the first in 1998 as Tsement and the 2nd in 2000 as Araks Ararat. The following year, Tsement yielded the championship to FC Shirak by two points and ended up on the third spot behind FC Ararat Yerevan. However, after many successful years, the club president ''Abraham Babayan'' was unable to finance the club. Ulisses Football Club ( hy, Ուլիս Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ), commonly known as Ulisses, is a defunct Armenian football club from Yerevan. The club played at the Armenian Premier League, the top division in Armenian football. They regularly used the Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium in Yerevan and occasionally the City Stadium in Abovyan as their home ground. The club headquarters are located on Nalbandyan street 48/1, Yerevan. Like all other Armenian Premier League clubs, Ulisses FC had a reserve team that played in the Armenian First League. Kilikia Football Club ( hy, Կիլիկիա Ֆուտբոլային Ակումբ – Kilikia Futbolayin Akumb), is a defunct Armenian football club from the capital Yerevan. History Beginning Kilikia F.C. was founded in 1992 and participated in the first ever independent Armenian championship. In 1992, they occupied the 12th spot in the table, and were allowed to play in the 1993 Armenian Premier League. At the beginning of 1993, the club merged with fellow financially struggling FC Malatia. The merger lasted only for 1 year, as the team was relegated to the Armenian First League.
