2002 Molde FK Season
The 2002 season was Molde's 27th season in the top flight of Norwegian football. In Tippeligaen they finished in 2nd position, six points behind Rosenborg. Molde participated in the Norwegian Cup. Molde FK
Molde Fotballklubb () is a professional football club based in Molde, Norway, that competes in Eliteserien, the top flight of Norwegian football. Founded on 19 June 1911, the club was originally known as International and changed its name to Molde in 1915. Molde are five-time league champions (2011, 2012, 2014, 2019 & 2022) and five-time Norwegian Cup winners (1994, 2005, 2013, 2014 and 2021), and have finished second in the league a further nine times. Molde is one of only two Norwegian clubs to have participated in the UEFA Champions League. The club's home matches are played at the 11,249-capacity Aker Stadion. The stadium was inaugurated in 1998, and was a gift from local businessmen Kjell Inge Røkke and Bjørn Rune Gjelsten. Petter Christian Singsaas
Petter Christian Singsaas (born 23 August 1972) is a Norwegian former football player, who played as a central defender, most notably for Molde. He won the Norwegian cup with Molde in 2005. Club career Singsaas debuted for Molde in the Tippeligaen match against Brann on 22 April 1995, and went on to play for Molde for nine seasons until 2003, had a break from top level football and returned to Molde in 2005 where he played another three seasons. Stig Arild Råket
Stig Arild Råket (born 6 April 1978) is a Norwegian footballer, with a past in Molde, Bodø/Glimt and Kristiansund BK. Career Råket played 46 matches, scoring three goals, for Molde from 2000 to 2004 before he joined Bodø/Glimt in 2005. Halfway through the 2006-season, Bodø/Glimt experienced ecomic difficulties, and released a number of players including Råket. Trond Strande
Trond Strande (born 24 November 1970) is a Norwegian football coach and former footballer who is currently assistant coach in Eliteserien club Molde. He spent his entire career playing for Molde FK and was a regular on Molde's team from 1991 to 2007. Club career Strande was born in Molde, and grew up in Elnesvågen. As a youngster, Strande started to play football for Elnesvågen IL, and made his debut for the first-team at the age of 15. In 1987, he played for Fræna FK, where he was a regular on both the youth-team and the first-team. Strande joined the youth-team of Molde FK the next season. Douglas Edward Alexander "Eddie" Gustafsson McIntosh (born 31 January 1977) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Starting off his career with IFK Stockholm in 1993, he went on to play professionally in Norway for three clubs and in Austria for Red Bull Salzburg before retiring in 2014. Karl Oskar Fjørtoft (born 26 July 1975 in Ålesund) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. Club career As an active player, Fjørtoft played for Hødd, Rosenborg BK, Molde FK, Swedish team Hammarby IF, Aalesund and Herd. After the 2008 season, his contract with Aalesund was not renewed. In late December he was signed by SK Herd together with former teammate Lasse Olsen. The team captain of an association football team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities.
