Meath Intermediate Football Championship
Meath Intermediate Football Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association second-tier competition between Gaelic football clubs organised by Meath GAA. The winning club is promoted to the Meath Senior Football Championship. In the 2021 final, Trim defeated Oldcastle. Each year, the final takes place in Pairc Tailteann, Navan. The winning club competes in the Leinster Intermediate Club Football Championship. The current (2021) champions are Trim. Qualification for subsequent competitions Meath Intermediate Club Football Championship The Meath IFC winner qualifies for the Leinster Intermediate Club Football Championship. Blackhall Gaels GAA
Blackhall Gaels is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the Parish of Kilcloon. The parish consists of the main townlands of Batterstown, Mulhussey and Kilcloon near the town of Dunboyne, in County Meath. The club plays hurling and football in Meath GAA competitions. The club grounds are located in Batterstown and Kilcloon, and training and matches take place in both these locations on a daily basis. Blackhall Gaels are a young team and currently compete at senior level. Players are usually graduates of the local primary schools: Scoil Naisiúnta Naomh Iosaif, Mulhussey; Scoil Oilibhéar Naofa, Kilcloon, and Rathregan NS in Batterstown. Pairc Tailteann
Park ( gd, A' Phàirc), also known as South Lochs, is a huge area of land connected to the rest of Lewis only by a narrow neck between Loch Seaforth and Loch Erisort. This had a wall called ''Gàrradh an Tighearna'' (''"The Laird's Dyke"'') built across it by the Earl of Seaforth in the early 17th century, the outline of which can still be seen. Only the north of Park is now inhabited: settlements in the south were cleared by Sir James Matheson in the nineteenth century. A famous deer raid took place here in 1887 as a demonstration by starving people, commemorated by a broch resembling a cairn at the Eishken junction. With 20 Senior Football wins they are the most successful football club in Meath. The 2001 Meath Senior Football Championship was the 109th edition of the Meath GAA's premier club Gaelic football tournament for senior graded teams in County Meath, Ireland. The tournament consists of 16 teams, with the winner going on to represent Meath in the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship. The championship starts with a group stage and then progresses to a knock out stage. Dunshaughlin were the defending champions after they defeated Kilmainhamwood in the previous years final, and on 4 November 2001, they successfully defended their title with a 0–11 to 1–5 win over Skryne to claim their 2nd Senior Championship title in a row and 2nd in all. Ciaran Byrne lifted the Keegan Cup for Dunshaughlin while Martin Reilly claimed the 'Man of the Match' award. Ballivor ( /'bælaɪvər/ BAL-eyevər; ) is a village in County Meath, Ireland. It had a population of 1,809 at the 2016 census. It is located on the R156 regional road between the towns of Mullingar and Trim. Public transport Bus Éireann route 115A provided a commuter link from Ballivor to Dublin via Summerhill and Maynooth with one journey in the morning and an evening journey back every day except Sunday. The Meath Junior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition contested by lower-tier Meath GAA clubs. The winner of this championship will be promoted to the Intermediate division. The winner also represents Meath in the Leinster Junior Club Football Championship. The 2021 Meath Junior Football Championship was won by St Vincent's, who defeated Dunsany in the final 1-4 to 0-6. Competition format Up until 1971, the Junior 'A' winners played against the Junior 'B' winners in the Junior Championship final, even though the teams involved in the final had played in different grades of football throughout the season.
