The 2002 Alaska Aces season was the 17th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Tim Cone
Earl Timothy Cone (born December 14, 1957) is an American professional basketball coach who is the head coach of Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He is the most accomplished coach in PBA history with twenty-four (24) titles, including two (2) Grand Slams, four (4) Coach of the Year awards, and the winningest coach of the league tallying more than one thousand (1000) games won. The 2003 Alaska Aces season was the 18th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Draft picks Transactions Occurrences During the Invitational Cup, shooting guard Jon Ordonio was placed on the reserve list upon orders by the management. Ordonio was one of the five foreign-breed players whom the senate recommended for deportation upon investigation on the so-called Fil-Shams. Championship The Alaska Aces won the Invitational Championship for their 11th PBA title as they exact revenge over the Coca-Cola Tigers, the team that beat them for the All-Filipino crown last year. Alaska Aces (PBA)
The Alaska Aces were a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association since 1986 under the ownership of Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) and the owner of 14 PBA championships, tied with the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and the Magnolia Hotshots for the second-most titles overall. They are one of the most popular teams in the league and the Philippines. The Aces won nine PBA championships in the 1990s, including a rare grand slam (winning three championships in one season) during the 1996 season, joining the Crispa Redmanizers (1976, 1983), San Miguel Beermen (1989), and the San Mig Super Coffee Mixers ( 2013–14) as one of only four franchises to achieve the feat. Isabelo "Jojo" Lastimosa Jr. (born March 10, 1964) is a Filipino former professional basketball player in the Philippine Basketball Association for the Purefoods Hotdogs, the Alaska Aces and the Pop Cola Panthers from 1988 to 2002. The Pop Cola Panthers were a professional basketball team that played in the Philippine Basketball Association from 1990-2001. The franchise was owned by RFM Corporation. In 2001, when RFM Corporation sold its entire stake in Cosmos Bottling Corporation to Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc. (CCBPI), the PBA franchise was included in the transaction. Alvin Teng
Alvin L. Teng (born March 4, 1965) is a retired Filipino professional basketball player who spent 14 seasons in the PBA, mostly with the San Miguel Beermen. Collegiate career A native of Davao, he was a latebloomer in basketball, having only started in 1983 while playing for the Rizal Memorial College in his hometown. After a year with the RMC, Alvin enrolled at the Harvardian University in Davao, where he also played for the school team. He soon made it to a selection of Davaoeños which participated in the PABL Founder's Cup. Thus was his first taste of commercial ball-playing in the Big City. While playing for the All-Stars, Alvin was spotted by Arellano team manager and then PABL president Peter Cayco and was promptly recruited to the Flaming Arrows' bench. The San Miguel Beermen are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). It is one of three PBA clubs owned by the San Miguel Corporation group of companies along with the Magnolia Hotshots and Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. Edward Joseph Feihl
Edward Joseph "E. J." Feihl (born March 27, 1970) is a Filipino retired professional basketball player of German Filipino descent. He stands 7'1" tall, making him the tallest Filipino professional basketball player ever to play in the PBA. At the UAAP, Feihl debuted for the UST Growling Tigers in 1990 but decided to play for the Adamson Soaring Falcons the following season. In 1992, he helped the collegiate team reach the final but conceded the title to FEU. He represented the Philippines in several international competitions. Feihl was drafted by Ginebra San Miguel in 1995 and played for two seasons with the team. A controversial talk about a contract extension led to Feihl's departure in 1997.
