The 2000–01 Danish 1st Division season was the 56th season of the Danish 1st Division league championship and the 15th consecutive as a second tier competition governed by the Danish Football Association. The division-champion and runner-up promoted to the 2001–02 Danish Superliga. The teams in the 14th, 15th and 16th relegated to the 2001–02 Danish 2nd Division. Mads Junker (born 21 April 1981) is a Danish football pundit and former footballer who played as a striker. He played seven matches for the Danish national team. During his career, and increasingly after his retirement in 2015, Junker worked as a pundit and commentator for DR and TV 2. Club career Born in Copenhagen, Junker had his debut in the Danish Superliga in 2000, playing for Lyngby BK while attending High School on the side. Kaspar Buhl Dalgas (born 11 May 1976) is a Danish former professional footballer who was the joint top scorer of the 2001–02 Danish Superliga season with 22 goals in 31 games. He represented the Denmark U21 team once, in 1997. Career Dalgas spent his youth years at Vejle Boldklub, alongside Thomas Gravesen, and made his senior debut for the club in April 1995. Jeppe Tengbjerg (born 28 December 1973) is a Danish football manager and former football player. In his playing career, Tengbjerg represented a number of Danish clubs, as well as Dutch clubs SC Cambuur and Excelsior Rotterdam. Birkerød () is a town in Rudersdal Municipality in the northern outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark. It is surrounded by several lakes and small woodlands. Birkerød station is located on the Hillerød radial of the S-train suburban network.
