2000–01 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship
The 2000–01 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship was the 31st staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1970-71. The championship began on 1 October 2000 and ended on 17 March 2001. Crossmaglen Rangers entered the championship as the defending champions, however, they were beaten by Castleblayney in the Ulster Club Championship. On 16 April 2001, Crossmolina Deel Rovers won the championship following a 0-16 to 1-12 defeat of Nemo Rangers in the All-Ireland final at Croke Park. It remains their only championship title. Abbeylara Gaelic Football Club is a Gaelic football club based in Abbeylara, County Longford, Ireland. History The Abbeylara club can trace its origins back to the Ballywillan Michael Davitts club (founded in 1889 and named after Michael Davitt) who competed in the first Longford Senior Football Championship in 1890 (also referred to as Abbeylara Davitts). During the 1891 Senior Football Championship, the club name changed to Ballywillan Faugh a'Ballaghs. The club went into decline thereafter and the modern day Abbeylara club was affiliated in 1928. Páirc Tailteann () is a Gaelic Athletic Association, GAA stadium in Navan, County Meath, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It is the home of the Meath GAA, Meath Gaelic football and Hurling teams. The ground has had a capacity of between 30,000 and 33,000, but following a safety audit in 2011 the GAA reduced the authorized capacity to 10,000. This was later upped to 17,000. Dunshaughlin ( Irish: ''Domhnach Seachnaill'') is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the town of Dunshaughlin, in County Meath, Ireland. Dicksboro is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Kilkenny City, Ireland. History Dicksboro GAA Club, founded in 1909. The club takes its name from Dicksboro townland, located next to Kilkenny Airport, the current ground is Palmerstown, to the west of the city. Dicksboro entered and won the junior championship of 1910. Dicksboro entered the senior championship in 1911. Dicksboro had no team from 1961 to 1969, until the club was reformed. O'Hanrahans are a Gaelic football club from Carlow, County Carlow. They are one of the most successful clubs in the history of Carlow GAA. They have won the Carlow Senior Football Championship 18 times and the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship once. History The club was established in 1919 and named after Michael O'Hanrahan. Though born in Wexford, O'Hanrahan was educated by the Christian Brothers in Carlow and attended what is now St Patrick's College in Carlow town. He was executed in Kilmainham Gaol for his part in the Easter Rising. They play their home games on the Dublin Road in Carlow town, in grounds directly east of Dr. Cullen Park. Leinster Senior Club Football Championship
The Leinster Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament played on a knockout basis between the senior club championship winners of the competing counties in Leinster. The current holders of the Leinster title are Ballyboden St. Enda's from Dublin. Offaly side Gracefield were the first winners of the Leinster senior club football championship in the 1970–71 season. The most successful clubs are St. Vincent's from Dublin and Portlaoise from Laois, who have won the Leinster championship on seven occasions. Carlow club Éire Óg won 5 championships in 7 years in the 1990s. Dublin clubs have won the Leinster championship twenty one times, which is more than double any other county.
