Ramón Mestre
Ramón Bautista Mestre (August 21, 1937 – March 6, 2003), an Argentine politician, was Governor of Córdoba from July 12, 1995 to July 12, 1999. He also served as Federal Interventor of Corrientes Province (December 16, 1999 to March 20, 2001), Minister of the Interior (from March 20, 2001 to December 21, 2001), and Mayor of the City of Córdoba (from December 1983 to December 1991). Biography Mestre was born in San Juan, Argentina. He enrolled at the National University of Córdoba School of Dentistry, and was elected President of the Student Union Organization. The Constitution (1916) of Mendoza Province, Argentina, states that the Executive (government), executive power of the province will be led by a citizen chosen as a governor by the people for a four-year term, and not allowed to be re-elected for the immediately following term. Before it was constituted as a province in 1920, Mendoza Province was known as the Province of Cuyo. Before 1813, it was part of Córdoba Province (Argentina), Córdoba Province. The office of governor came into existence when the independent province was created. Since that time Mendoza Province has had almost a hundred governors, as well as other types of officials in charge of the executive power. Ángel Maza
Ángel Eduardo Maza (born 18 December 1954) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician. He was the governor of La Rioja Province during several terms, until he was ousted by impeachment in 2007. His sister, Ada Maza, is a national senator. Maza was educated at the National University of Córdoba and graduated as a geologist, later earning a doctorate. He worked in the geological and mining services of the Government of Argentina and of La Rioja Province. Political career From 1985, Maza served as a minister in the provincial government of La Rioja under then governor Carlos Menem, continuing until 1992, when Menem, by now President of Argentina, appointed Maza as minister for mining, a position which he held until 1995. Rubén Marín
Rubén Hugo Marín (born May 1, 1934) is a former Argentines, Argentine Senator for La Pampa Province. He was also a governor of the province on two occasions. Marín, a lawyer by profession, is a member of the Argentina, Argentine Justicialist Party. Born in Trenel, Marín enrolled at the National University of La Plata, and graduated with a ''juris doctor'' in 1961. He was Peronist gubernatorial candidate Aquiles Regazzoli's running mate in 1973, and served as Vice Governor of La Pampa from 1973 to 1976. Marín was elected governor in 1983 upon the restoration of democracy, serving until 1987. He was then elected to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies, and two years later, to the Argentine Senate, Senate. Eduardo Alfredo Fellner (born 16 June 1954) is an Argentine Peronist politician. He was President of the Argentine Chamber of Deputies and governor of Jujuy Province for two terms. Life and times Fellner was born in Río Tercero, Córdoba, and was raised in Villa Palpalá, Jujuy Province, where his father had found work in the Zapla steel mill, the country's oldest and largest. The young Fellner later relocated to Tucumán, where he earned a ''juris doctor'' at the Saint Thomas Aquinas University of the North. He returned to Jujuy in 1983, and was appointed Solicitor General of the province, later becoming District Attorney. Gildo Insfrán
Gildo Insfrán (born 19 January 1951) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician, who has been Governor of Formosa Province since 1995. Having been close to former President Carlos Menem, Insfrán later became close to President Néstor Kirchner, who defeated Menem in 2003 and was the leader of the Justicialist Party. Insfrán has been the target of accusations of corruption and embezzlement, and has been severely criticized for his long tenure. He arranged to have Formosa's provincial constitution revised to allow him to be reelected indefinitely, and has thus been described as having "stuck a knife into the provincial Constitution". Sergio Alberto Montiel (October 20, 1927 – November 1, 2011) was an Argentinian politician, lawyer, and professor of constitutional law at the National University of the Littoral. Monitel served as Governor of Entre Ríos Province for two nonconsecutive terms: He was first elected on October 30, 1983, and served his first term until 1987. Montiel served a second gubernatorial term from 1999 to 2003. Montiel supported nationalization and opposed the 1993 Pact of Olivos.
