2000 Central American And Caribbean Junior Championships In Athletics
The 14th Central American and Caribbean Junior Championships were held in the Estadio Sixto Escobar in San Juan, Puerto Rico between 14–16 July 2000. Records A total of 15 new championship records were set. The wind-assisted mark of 8.09 m (2.9 m/s) by Cleavon Dillon from Trinidad and Tobago was the best performance in long jump of the Male Junior A (U-20) category, as was the mark of 13.30 s (4.8 m/s) by Toni Ann D'Oyley from Jamaica in 100 metres hurdles of the Female Junior A (U-20) category, the mark of 21.46 s (2.4 m/s) by Darrel Brown from Trinidad and Tobago in 200 metres of the Male Junior B (U-17) category, the mark of 7.35 m (5.1 m/s) by Damion Young from Jamaica in long jump of the Male Junior B (U-17) category, and the mark of 6.17m (3.4 m/s) by Charisse Bacchus from Trinidad and Tobago in long jump of the Female Junior B (U-17) category, but all five could not be recognized as new records. ;Key: Medal summary Complete re ... Shereefa Lloyd (born 2 September 1982 in Clarendon Park, Jamaica) is a Jamaican sprinter, who specializes in the 400 metres. She attended and competed for Texas Tech under coach Wes Kittley. At the 2007 World Championships Lloyd won a bronze medal in 4 × 400 metres relay, together with teammates Shericka Williams, Davita Prendagast and Novlene Williams. Marvin Anderson
Marvin Anderson (born 12 May 1982) is a Jamaican sprint athlete. He finished sixth in the 200m final at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka where he also won a silver medal in the 4 × 100 m relay team for Jamaica. He is a former student of Duncans All Age and William Knibb Memorial High School. Anderson represented Jamaica at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He competed at the 200 metres and placed third in his first round heat after Marlon Devonish and Kim Collins in a time of 20.85 seconds. With this result he qualified for the second round, but he did finish the second race and was eliminated. He tested positive for the stimulant 4-Methyl-2-hexanamine in June 2009. The 100 metres, or 100-meter dash, is a sprint race in track and field competitions. The shortest common outdoor running distance, the dash is one of the most popular and prestigious events in the sport of athletics. Camille Robinson-Regis is a Trinidadian and Tobagonian lawyer and politician, representing the People's National Movement.
