2000 African Cup Of Nations
The 2000 African Cup of Nations was the 22nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the association football championship of Africa (Confederation of African Football, CAF). It was co-hosted by Ghana and Nigeria, who jointly replaced Zimbabwe as host. Just like in 1998 Africa Cup of Nations, 1998, the field of sixteen teams was split into four groups of four. Cameroon national football team, Cameroon won the championship, beating Nigeria national football team, Nigeria in the final 4–3 on penalties. As winners, they qualified for the 2001 FIFA Confederations Cup as African representatives. Hisseine Abana (born 25 June 1983) is a former Chadian professional football player. He made 15 appearances for the Chad national football team. Career Abana started his career in Chadian club Renaissance. He later moved to France, and played for FC Petit Bard in Montpellier. Estádio da Várzea is a multi-purpose stadium in Praia, Cape Verde just west of the city center's plateau in the subdivision of Várzea and on Avenida Cidade de Lisboa on its east side. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 8,000 people. Yaya Mamadou Dissa (born 18 September 1975) is a Malian international footballer who last played for Division d'Honneur side Niort Saint-Florent.
