1, Aney Marg in Patna is the official residence of the Chief Minister of Bihar. It has been named after Madhav Shrihari Aney, the Maharashtra born politician, who was also the state's second post-Independence Governor. The sprawling fields surrounding the bungalow have been planted with 160 herbal and aromatic plants. The former chief ministers of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi lived in it for 15 years. It is now the residence of present chief minister, Nitish Kumar. Patna ( ), historically known as Pataliputra, is the capital and largest city of the state of Bihar in India. According to the United Nations, as of 2018, Patna had a population of 2.35 million, making it the 19th largest city in India. Bhagwat Jha Azad
Bhagwat Jha Azad was an Indian freedom fighter and politician. He served as List of Chief Ministers of Bihar, Chief minister of Bihar from 14 February 1988 to 10 March 1989. He was at various times a member of parliament and a member of the Bihar state legislature. Political career Azad was a 20-year-old college student when he took part in a demonstration as part of the Quit India Movement in 1942. Raj Bhavan (Bihar)
Raj Bhavan (from Hindi: ''Government House'') is the official residence of the governor of the Indian state of Bihar. It is located in the state capital of Patna. Construction started in 1912 and was completed in 1917. It was designed by New Zealand-born architect Joseph Fearis Munnings. Prior to the Independence of India, the building was known as Government House and was the official residence of the lieutenant governor of Bihar and Orissa from 1917-1920 and then the governor of Bihar and Orissa from 1920-1936. Jitan Ram Manjhi (born 6 October 1944) is an Indian politician from the eastern state of Bihar who served as its 23rd Chief Minister from 20 May 2014 to 20 February 2015. He is President of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM). Previously, he had served as minister for scheduled castes and scheduled tribes welfare in Nitish Kumar's cabinet. He has been a minister in several Bihar state governments, under multiple chief ministers like Chandrashekhar Singh, Bindeshwari Dubey, Satyendra Narayan Sinha, Jagannath Mishra, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi. Lalu Prasad Yadav (born 11 June 1948) is an Indian politician and president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He is a former Chief Minister of Bihar (1990-1997), a former Railway Minister of India (2004-2009), and a former Member of Parliament (MP) of the Lok Sabha. He entered politics at Patna University as a student leader and in 1977 at the age of 29, was elected as the youngest member of the Lok Sabha for the Janata Party. Satyendra Narayan Sinha (12 July 1917 – 4 September 2006) was an Indian politician and statesman, participant in the Indian independence movement, a leading light of Jaya Prakash Narayan's ‘ ''complete revolution''’ movement during the Emergency and a former Chief Minister of Bihar. Bindeshwari Dubey (14 January 1921 – 20 January 1993) was a freedom fighter, trade unionist and politician who served as Chief Minister of Bihar between 12 March 1985 and 13 February 1988. Dubey was involved in the nationalisation of Indian collieries, especially in the Chhotanagpur region that was then a part of Bihar (now Jharkhand). He held the portfolios of Law, Justice and Labour in the Union Council of Ministers in Rajiv Gandhi's cabinet. Earlier, he had held offices at state level as Minister of Education, Transport and Health.
