1999 Women's County Championship
The 1999 Women's County One-Day Championship was the 3rd cricket Women's County Championship season. It took place in July and saw 10 county teams, 3 county Second XIs and 5 regional teams compete in a series of divisions. East Midlands Women won the County Championship as winners of the top division, achieving their first Championship title. Competition format Teams played matches within a series of divisions with the winners of the top division being crowned County Champions. Matches were played using a one day format with 50 overs per side. The championship works on a points system with positions within the divisions being based on the total points. Points were awarded as follows: Win: 12 points. Tie: 6 points. Loss: Bonus points. No Result: 11 points. Abandoned: 11 points. Up to five batting and five bowling points per side were also available. Yorkshire Women Cricket Team
The Yorkshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Yorkshire. They play their home games at St George's Road, Harrogate, and are captained by Hollie Armitage. In 2019, they played in Division One of the final season of the Women's County Championship, and have since competed in the Women's Twenty20 Cup. Yorkshire contribute some players to making up a North Representative XI, and they are partnered with the regional side Northern Diamonds. Arran Brindle
Arran Brindle (; born 23 November 1981) is an English former cricketer who played as an all-rounder. She was a right-handed batter and right-arm medium bowler. She appeared in 11 Test matches, 88 One Day Internationals and 35 Twenty20 Internationals for England between 1999 and 2014. She played county cricket for Lancashire and Sussex, and played in the Women's Cricket Super League for the Southern Vipers. Early life Brindle was born on 23 November 1981 in Steeton, West Yorkshire. After completing her A-Levels in 2000, Brindle studied Sports Science at the University of Sheffield. Domestic career Brindle began playing cricket against boys at under 12 level in Lancashire and also played club cricket in the Lincolnshire Men's Premier League for Louth CC. Charlotte Edwards
Charlotte Marie Edwards (born 17 December 1979) is an English former cricketer and current cricket coach and commentator. She played primarily as a right-handed batter. She appeared in 23 Test matches, 191 One Day Internationals and 95 Twenty20 Internationals for England between 1996 and 2016. She played domestic cricket in England for East Anglia, Kent, Hampshire and Southern Vipers, as well as overseas for Northern Districts, Western Australia, Perth Scorchers, South Australia and Adelaide Strikers. Not Out
In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Usually two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Batters further down the batting order than the not out batters do not come out to the crease at all and are noted as ''did not bat'' rather than ''not out''; by contrast, a batter who comes to the crease but faces no balls is ''not out''. Nottinghamshire Women Cricket Team
The Nottinghamshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Nottinghamshire. They play their home games at John Fretwell Sporting Complex, Nettleworth and are captained by Teresa Graves. In 2019, they played in Division One of the final season of the Women's County Championship, and in 2021 won the East Midlands Group of the Women's Twenty20 Cup. The Northumberland Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Northumberland. They played their home games at Stocksfield Cricket Club Ground, Stocksfield. They competed in the Women's County Championship from 1998 to 2019 and in the Women's Twenty20 Cup from 2009 to 2018. The Lancashire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Lancashire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Beaconsfield Road, Widnes. They are coached by Chris Chambers and captained by Eleanor Threlkeld. The West Women's cricket team, also known as West of England Women and Western Counties Women, was the women's representative cricket team for South West England. They competed in the Women's Area Championship from 1980 to 1996 and in the Women's County Championship from 1997 to 1999, after which they were replaced by Somerset.
