1998–99 League Of Wales
The 1998–99 League of Wales was the seventh season of the League of Wales, the top division of Welsh football. It began on 22 August 1998 and ended on 1 May 1999. The league was won for a record fourth consecutive season by Barry Town. Just 17 clubs competed in the league this season, as the 18th club Ebbw Vale (who had finished third the previous season) were expelled from the league before the season began due to financial difficulties, and promptly went out of business. The Cymru Premier, known as the JD Cymru Premier for sponsorship reasons, is the national football league of Wales. It has both professional and semi-professional status clubs and is at the top of the Welsh football league system. Prior to 2002, the league was known as the League of Wales (LoW), but changed its name as part of a sponsorship deal to the Welsh Premier League. The league was rebranded as the Cymru Premier for the 2019–20 season. Ebbw Vale F
The Ebbw River (; cy, Afon Ebwy) is a river in South Wales which gives its name to the town of Ebbw Vale. The Ebbw River is joined by the Ebbw Fach River (Welsh: Afon Ebwy Fach meaning 'little Ebbw river') at Aberbeeg. The Ebbw Fach is itself fed by a left-bank tributary, the River Tyleri. The tributary Sirhowy River joins on the right bank at Crosskeys, then the river continues flowing south east, through the town of Risca, then through the western suburbs of Newport, alongside Tredegar Park. The tidal Ebbw joins with the estuarine River Usk seaward of Newport, before flowing into the Mouth of the Severn. Park Avenue (Welsh: ''Coedlen y Parc'') currently called Aberystwyth University Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in Aberystwyth, Wales and has served as the home of Cymru Premier side Aberystwyth Town since 1907. The stadium capacity is 5,000 with 1,500 seats. It is a 4G artificial turf pitch. In May 2021, the ground was designated UEFA Category 2 status after successful inspection by Standards Officer Scott Struthers. Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth () is a university and seaside town as well as a community in Ceredigion, Wales. Located in the historic county of Cardiganshire, means "the mouth of the Ystwyth". Aberystwyth University has been a major educational location in Wales since the establishment of University College Wales in 1872. Cwmbran ( ; cy, Cwmbrân , also in use as an alternative spelling in English) is a town in the county borough of Torfaen in South Wales. Lying within the historic boundaries of Monmouthshire, Cwmbran was designated as a New Town in 1949 to provide new employment opportunities in the south eastern portion of the South Wales Coalfield.
