Ramón Puerta
Federico Ramón Puerta (born 9 September 1951) is an Argentine Peronist politician who has served as a governor, national senator and deputy and briefly as President of Argentina in 2001. Biography Puerta was born in Apóstoles, Misiones Province. He attended the Universidad Católica Argentina in Buenos Aires and qualified as a civil engineer. However, he entered the family business of the cultivation of yerba maté, and became a successful businessman and millionaire. Puerta was elected a national deputy for Misiones in 1987. In 1991 he was elected Governor of Misiones Province, re-elected in 1995 and served until 1999. He followed the neo-liberal economic model of President Carlos Menem, including privatising the provincial bank of which his own grandfather had been a founder. Arturo Lafalla (born in 1944) is an Argentine politician of the Justicialist Party, in Mendoza Province. Lafalla was born in San Rafael, Mendoza, and educated at the Marist College of San José. He graduated from the National University of Cuyo, and taught at his alma mater for a number of years. He was chosen as the running mate for Justicialist Party gubernatorial nominee José Octavio Bordón, as served as the latter's Vice Governor from 1987 to 1991. Appointed Minister of the Environment by Governor Rodolfo Gabrielli, Lafalla was elected governor of Mendoza in 1995. His tenure was marked by the privatization of numerous state enterprises, including the Bank of Mendoza, the provincial pension fund, the water works (OSM), and the electricity distribution company (Edemsa), among others. The Constitution (1916) of Mendoza Province, Argentina, states that the Executive (government), executive power of the province will be led by a citizen chosen as a governor by the people for a four-year term, and not allowed to be re-elected for the immediately following term. Before it was constituted as a province in 1920, Mendoza Province was known as the Province of Cuyo. Before 1813, it was part of Córdoba Province (Argentina), Córdoba Province. Ángel Maza
Ángel Eduardo Maza (born 18 December 1954) is an Argentine Justicialist Party (PJ) politician. He was the governor of La Rioja Province during several terms, until he was ousted by impeachment in 2007. His sister, Ada Maza, is a national senator. Maza was educated at the National University of Córdoba and graduated as a geologist, later earning a doctorate. He worked in the geological and mining services of the Government of Argentina and of La Rioja Province. Political career From 1985, Maza served as a minister in the provincial government of La Rioja under then governor Carlos Menem, continuing until 1992, when Menem, by now President of Argentina, appointed Maza as minister for mining, a position which he held until 1995. Rubén Marín
Rubén Hugo Marín (born May 1, 1934) is a former Argentines, Argentine Senator for La Pampa Province. He was also a governor of the province on two occasions. Marín, a lawyer by profession, is a member of the Argentina, Argentine Justicialist Party. Born in Trenel, Marín enrolled at the National University of La Plata, and graduated with a ''juris doctor'' in 1961. He was Peronist gubernatorial candidate Aquiles Regazzoli's running mate in 1973, and served as Vice Governor of La Pampa from 1973 to 1976. Marín was elected governor in 1983 upon the restoration of democracy, serving until 1987. He was then elected to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies, and two years later, to the Argentine Senate, Senate.
