1995 PBA Governors' Cup
The 1995 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Governors Cup was the third and last conference of the 1995 PBA season. It started on September 29 and ended on December 19, 1995. The tournament is an Import-laden format, which requires an import or a pure-foreign player for each team. Format The following format will be observed for the duration of the conference: *The teams were divided into 2 groups. Group A: #Pepsi Mega Bottlers #Purefoods TJ Hotdogs #San Miguel Beermen # Sunkist Orange Juicers Group B: #Alaska Milkmen #Formula Shell Zoom Masters #Ginebra San Miguel #Sta. Lucia Realtors * Teams in a group will play against each other once and against teams in the other group twice; 10 games per team; Teams are then seeded by basis on win–loss records. Ties are broken among point differentials of the tied teams. The PBA on Vintage Sports was a branding used for presentation of Philippine Basketball Association games produced by Vintage Sports, a sports-oriented media company and was aired on Philippine television networks City2 Television from 1982 to 1984, Maharlika Broadcasting System (later renamed as People's Television Network) from 1985 to 1995, and Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation from 1996 to 1999. The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The most popular team in the league, it is owned by Ginebra San Miguel, Inc. Cuneta Astrodome
The Cuneta Astrodome is an indoor arena that is located in Pasay, Philippines. Since the 1993 PBA season, it was better known as the home of the Philippine Basketball Association. when it left the PhilSports Arena (that was then known as ULTRA), up until the 1998 PBA season, 1998 and since 2001 PBA season, 2001. The 1995 Formula Shell Super Unleaded season was the 11th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Known as Shell Rimula-X in the All-Filipino Cup. The 1995 Sunkist Orange Juicers season was the 6th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The 1995 Pepsi Mega Bottlers season was the 6th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Summary The Bottlers won their first two games of the season, upsetting Alaska Milkmen, 99-93 in overtime on February 21, followed by a 94-80 win over San Miguel on February 28. The Mega Bottlers had four wins and two losses when they lost their last four games and were eliminated from the All-Filipino Cup semifinal race along with San Miguel Beermen and Ginebra. Bob McCann, who played for three NBA teams spread over three years, was Pepsi's import in the Commissioners Cup. The 1995 Ginebra San Miguel season was the 17th season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Draft picks Summary Ginebra bowed to Shell Rimula-X, 88-100, in the opening game of the season on February 19. The Gins lost their first three outings but found success during their out-of-town matches by winning against Shell, 129-120 on March 5 in Cabanatuan City, and Pepsi, 106-95 in San Fernando, Pampanga on March 11.
