1994 Torneo Descentralizado
The 1994 Torneo Descentralizado was the 79th season of the top category of Peruvian football (soccer). A total of 16 teams competed. The national champion was Sporting Cristal, beginning a run of three consecutive titles. Changes from 1993 *The Torneo Intermedio was replaced by the Torneo Apertura which qualified its champion to the 1995 Copa CONMEBOL and awarded the club two points for the Torneo Descentralizado. *The third-to-last club vs. Copa Perú runner-up relegation playoff was removed. Ciclista Lima Association is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Lima. It is the second oldest club in Peru. The club was founded 1896 and plays in the Copa Perú, which is the third division of the Peruvian league. History The club was the 1944, 1946, 1949, and 1993 Segunda División Peruana champion. The club played at the highest level of Peruvian football on several occasions since 1927. Cienciano
Club Sportivo Cienciano is a professional football club based in Cusco, Peru that currently plays in the Peruvian Primera División. The club was founded in 1901 by a group of students of the ''Colegio Nacional Ciencias del Cusco'' (National Science School of Cusco). They decided to give the club its name based on the word ''Ciencias'', which means "Science". It gained worldwide recognition after defeating River Plate in the finals of the 2003 Copa Sudamericana and Boca Juniors in the 2004 Recopa Sudamericana. Estadio Mansiche is the biggest stadium of the city of Trujillo and the home of the most important football clubs in the city, Carlos A. Mannucci and Universidad César Vallejo. Estadio Capitán Remigio Elías Aguirre Romero is a multi-purpose stadium administrated by the governmental ''Instituto Peruano del Deporte'' in Chiclayo, Peru.
